Dunn's River Catamaran Cruise From Ocho Rios

Great tour, snorkeling was great, Dunn's Falls climb was gorgeous and well worth the workout. Our life guards were awesome they watched the snorkeler's for their safety as well as shared some of the under water ocean life. They informed people how to use the snorkel gear and mask and then followed them in the water. They also were the dance entertainers while we were cruising back from the falls. Captain and boats mates were awesome, DJ rocked some great tunes. The Dunn's River Falls guide was also very helpful for your safety going up the falls. Listen to them as they help you learn how to go up the strong water Falls. Total Blast. As I said in a previous post TIP your guides and tour staff well; they truly do watch out for your safety while doing the cruise and ascending the Falls. At least 25 for the cruise and 15 for the guide but I did more because they genuinely watch out for their guests. Food was great as well and plenty of adult beverages to enjoy on the way back. You only need to bring good water shoes for grip going up the falls. You can bring a water bottle and a towel but otherwise everything is provided for you. What I would suggest is a hat and sunglasses with straps to secure to your head with a strap. the falls can be slippery so you don't want to lose those items.

I celebrated my birthday on the catamaran and had a fantastic time. The snorkeling, Dunns River Falls and the party boat were a vibe. Tajera was an excellent hostess who went above and beyond to ensure we were catered to and ensured we always had a drink in hand. She truly made the experience 10/10 and went out of her way to make me feel special on a special day. Highly recommend and will be going again.

I would rate this experience a 10/10. The tour guides were exceptional, engaging, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The food was delicious, and every aspect of the event was well organized. The music, atmosphere, and interactions with everyone involved created a fun and memorable experience. Overall, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend it.

I booked a river cruise through Viator with Island Routes the evening before the excursion and received confirmation that my reservation had been accepted. The next day, the tour was not honored, and neither Viator nor Island Routes made any attempt to contact me beforehand. What makes this especially frustrating is not simply that there was a problem with the booking—it is the complete lack of communication. No phone call, no email, no text message, and no effort to explain the situation or offer an alternative. As a visitor on vacation, my time is limited and valuable. I planned part of my day around this excursion only to be left disappointed and scrambling for other options. Mistakes can happen, and tours can occasionally become unavailable. However, professional companies communicate with their customers when issues arise. Leaving a paying customer uninformed is unacceptable and reflects poorly on both Viator and Island Routes. I chose Viator because I expected a reliable booking experience and trusted Island Routes to deliver the service that was advertised. Unfortunately, neither company met those expectations. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this excursion or the customer service provided. I hope both companies take steps to improve their booking verification and customer communication processes so that future travelers do not have their vacation plans disrupted the way mine were.

The water fall and the trekking was really great. The most terrible experience was the tour guide. His name was Everton. He was not friendly at all and behaved rude at times. He didn't want to talk or answer to our questions. He didn't even tell us where to go and what to do at the falls. We had to figure out all by ourselves. Also made us wait for almost 25 minutes at the ticket counter, just because he didnt want to walk back to the car to get the phone where we had the ticket confirmation. The Island Routes company need to put some friendly tour guides who can speak well and be friendly to visitors.

Such a great experience!! Crew was amazing and knowledgeable. From snorkeling to climbing the waterfall, to dancing on the catamaran, even stopped by to see dolphin cove. The day was a great experience. Jamar went above and beyond. He made the adventure a 10/10 for us. Had a great time, highly recommend this excursion!!

We booked the catamaran for a Thursday. Apparently it runs Tuesdays and Thursdays and you could do the daylight or the sunset cruise. We chose daylight which was 9a-1p. Our crew Was party girl Taj, bartender Chris/Rambo, captain Demar, Romario/shotta and the rest of the crew. This was the highlight of our week!! We had so much fun. The DJ played the best music. We “hiked” dunns river falls which is more or less you climbing 900ft straight up through the waterfall (not beside it) lol. Our group is younger individuals so we had no trouble, and the falls guides kept us safe. There is a “dry path” beside the falls for those who aren’t able to do the regular climb. It was definitely a little busy. It took 45 minutes to climb but would maybe be faster if there wasn’t a line. Ice cold water was so refreshing. We walked down the path, back on the boat and were served some delicious food. Fresh fruit, steak kabobs, fried fish and chicken. Highly recommend this one !!!

This was the best excursion experience ever I’m not a great swimmer and they accommodated me excellently for the snorkeling the music was amazing the climb was guided by a professional that watched out for everyone’s safety amazing would do it again

We had so much fun, the crew was very polite and full of fun. The Dunn Falls was a experience to remember and the party and music was on point

We had such a great time on the boat, snorkeling and the water fall. The boat had a ton of room and the crew was awesome. The water fall was beautiful and fun adventure with the other guest. DJ, food and drinks on the way back was a great way to top it off.
