Från den judiska fontänen på Stapelplateauen, över stenfragment i norra delen av staden till den judiska gatan där en getto bildades i 16: e c, uppmanar det livet för judar i Dubrovnik. Försummelsen av religion och nationalitet markerade en tidigare historia av det tidigare kommunistiska staten och lämnade en inverkan på det judiska samhället i Dubrovnik. Idag bor bara ett fåtal judar i staden, men de är fortfarande framstående, inflytelserika, utbildade och framgångsrika. De håller stolt över sina förfäder.

We had a group of 6 so decided on a 3 hour private walking tour of Dubrovnik Old Town. We used WithLocals and Marko was our guide. The commentary covered history from a Croatian perspective (which of course contrasts with what we heard when we went to Bosnian on a day trip later in the trip). The tour was very good. It does not include walking the walls of the city. Since Dubrovnik gets many cruise ships during the season, I would recommend a tour early afternoon and then you can walk the walls (1 to 1.5 hours) when many of the cruise ships have returned to their ships.
