När kung Carol I av Rumänien besökte den lilla byn Sinaia vid foten av Bucegi-bergen på 1860-talet, hänfördes han av dess natursköna läge och lät bygga ett palats där. Det resulterande slottet är lätt ett av de mest fantastiska i hela Europa. Det första paret som bodde där, kung Carol I och hans fru drottning Elizabeth av Rumänien var kända för att vara mycket olika i temperament och intressen. Kungen var en skicklig soldat som kraftigt utökade och förbättrade den rumänska militären, och drottningen var mer konstnärlig, med en stor förkärlek för musik, konst och litteratur, och publicerade till och med poesi under pseudonymen Carmen Sylva. Peleș var också en återspegling av dessa två olika personligheter. Viktig !! Peles slott är stängt på måndagar besöket är utan invändig rundtur
Slottets berömmelse utländska beror till stor del på Bram Stoker, författare till den berömda romanen "Dracula" - berättelsen om vampyrräkningen som aldrig upphör att fascinera. Förbindelsen mellan karaktären i romanen och Prince Vlad the Impaler - Dracula föreslås till och med av författaren som skrev någonstans i boken ”... var det verkligen den prins Dracula som motsatte sig turkarna över den stora floden, även från gränsen till Turkiet ... Även om historien motsäger att Vlad Tepes, härskare med vampyrdrag som någonsin bodde i Bran Castle, är historien om den hungriga greven så populär och utbredd att den nästan ingen är intresserad av sanningen. Draculas legende är en sak, historien om Vlad Tepes är något annorlunda, men denna "förvirring" sätter den lilla staden och slottet på kartan över internationell turism och ger viktiga ekonomiska fördelar för området.

This was a terrific way to see the sights ! Our guide Radu was amazing and made the day fun and interesting. Highly recommend him and the private visit.
Our guide, Andre was on time and had a great day planned for us. The drive was beautiful, although mostly rainy. But we loved Brasov's Old Town and enjoyed exploring this beautiful town with Andre's commentary. Peles Palace was beautiful, amazing architecture, and a very interesting history. Andre was so good in knowing the history of every place we went and able to share it so well. At Bran castle, Andre made us a reservation at a great restaurant that he knew and frequented many times. He joined us for a late lunch and we had a wonderful time. Long day, but this is a must do!
Andrei is a fabulous driver and a wealth of local knowledge. He provided an in-depth overview of the areas we visited and provided the right amount of time to stop and enjoy the various sites. The Transylvanian Alps are gorgeous with many quaint ski villages along the route, stopping at Peles Castle was wonderful. We discussed Romanian culture and it's history. A highlight was to sit down with him for lunch in the beautiful city of Brasov. Thanks for a fantastic tour!
Three friends traveling highly recommend Romania Tours & Trips private tour of Dracula Castle, Peles Castle and Braşov. Nothing beats the comfort and convenience of a private car for the trip into Transylvania. Our driver and guide, Sergui, was exceptional; excellent communication, very knowledgeable, accommodating and a pleasure to spend the day with.

Not worth the a amount of time we travel from Bucharest to see the Peles castle because it was not open for the public on mondays.
Hi, I'm really sorry that you guys did not have a complete experience because Peles Castle was closed, but its written in the tour description that Peles Castle is closed on Monday and Tuesday for the inside visit (is nothing that us can do) I really hope that you had good times in Brasov and at Dracula Castle. Best
Excellent for the distances take the private tour, the very friendly and trained guide the castles are impressive in particular that of Peles, the Dracula does not have much appeal.
Hi, I booked this tour for my partner's birthday as she has always wanted to go to Bran Castle. We were picked up at 7am as Bran Castle was a couple of hours drive by car. We arrived at Bran Castle around 9.30am. We went straight into the castle as it wasn't busy yet. We spent a couple of hours looking around the castle, gardens and the surrounding area. After touring the castle we headed to Brasov for lunch. We were recommended a couple of places to eat and we chose one which was 10/10. After a couple of hours in Brasov we headed to Peles Castle. We arrived at around 14:30 and headed into the castle. You do need to pre book this one ahead of time as they have morning and afternoon slots to avoid the castle from being over crowded. Our tour guide was fantastic from start to finish, this made us feel so relaxed. We didn't feel rushed to do anything and were given ample amount od time for everything. We learnt so much about Romania, Bran Castle and Peles Castle as he was extremely knowledgeable. All the recommendations were appropriate and greatly appreciated. The conversations throughout the day were great too. Thank you for a brilliant day. I would 100% book again and I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit Romania.
Beautiful March day in Romania! My husband and I booked a private tour. Our guide, Radu, was great - knowledgeable about the area, history and interesting facts. He was very patient with me as I get car sick and the winding roads were a bit of a challenge for me! Peles castle was lovely with amazing architecture and the amazing backdrop of the Carpathian Mountains. We also toured the two abbeys down the mountain from it - super interesting! I purchased these tickets online. Bran Castle did not disappoint! We purchased tickets (we included the torture tour part but it’s optional) at the bottom of the hill before walking up to the castle. It has such history and - the stories! We had lunch and strolled around Brasov which has an Eastern European feel. So pretty! Go to the Black Church and ask about the statue of the boy! We had delicious gelato - Radu can show where is the best! It is definitely a full day as it is a good distance from Bucharest but totally worth it. Wear your walking shoes and take a water bottle! The trip to Peles Castle,. Brasov and Bran Castle was well worth it. Although it was a lengthy day from Buchapest to these sites, there was not enough time to see Brasov. This was due in part to not getting the first of the day tickets for Peles Castle and the exceedingly slow service at a restaurant in Brasov for lunch. Touring Bran Castle was very interesting but requires a lot of climbing. Sergio, our guide and driver, was pleasant, knowledgeable and able to ensure we got in places with ease.
