Starta turen på ditt hotell eller boende i Porto Downtown, kl 8:00. Vi färdas sedan mot Dourodalen. Obs! Din adress måste anges vid bokning eller några dagar innan turen äger rum, annars kommer en mötesplats att fastställas. - PICK-UP ÄR EXKLUSIVT FÖR PORTO CENTRUM OMRÅDE. Vi erbjuder INTE upphämtning från Vila Nova de Gaia, Matosinhos, Porto kustområdet, eller andra platser utanför centrum.
När det är möjligt stannar vi vid staden Peso da Régua, en historisk stad i Dourodalen som förknippas med handel med vin. Här ger vi våra gäster en kort förklaring om staden och ger lite fritid för en fika och bilder.
Quinta do Tedo är en av flera vingårdar som vi kan besöka på vår tur. I detta besök får du lära dig om vintillverkningsprocessen i Quinta do Tedo med en lokal Guide. Det ingår en guidad vinprovningssession där du får förklara om de olika vinerna som ska provas. OBS! Vingårdar eller ordningen på de vingårdar som besöks kan variera beroende på deras tillgänglighet OBS 2: Besök på vingårdarna och flodkryssningarna är inte helt privata och öppna för externa deltagare.
I hjärtat av Dourodalen kommer du att ha chansen att besöka Pinhão. Tidigare var Pinhão en viktig plats för handel och transport av vinet från Douro till Porto. Vinet kommersialiserades först och skeppades sedan i den traditionella Rabelobåten för att fortsätta lagras i Vila Nova de Gaia, precis över floden i Porto. I byn Pinhão stannar vi för en 1h flodkryssning samt vi äter lunch på en traditionell lokal restaurang. OBS! Besök på vingårdar och flodkryssningar är inte helt privata och öppna för externa deltagare.
Större delen av turen har floden Douro som den natursköna scenen genom dagen. Vingårdarna som besöks bjuder på otrolig utsikt över floden.
Quinta do Beijo är den andra vingården av flera vingårdar som vi kan besöka på vår tur. Detta är en liten lokal vingård med mycket bra viner som inte kan köpas i staden. Besöket görs oftast av Ägaren själv medan han berättar mer om produktionen och smakerna på dess viner. OBS! Vingårdar eller ordningen på de vingårdar som besöks kan variera beroende på deras tillgänglighet OBS 2: Besök på vingårdarna och flodkryssningarna är inte helt privata och öppna för externa deltagare.
Vi kör tillbaka till Porto från Douro Valley och återvänder nära 18:00 (beroende på trafiken), där vår Guide lämnar dig på din valda avlämningsplats.

Hämtning på hotellet ingår i centrala Porto (endast för alternativ som inkluderar upphämtning). Vänligen ange dina boendeuppgifter i kassan. Om din plats är utanför upphämtningsområdet, kommer vi att föreslå en bekväm närliggande mötesplats. Upphämtning börjar cirka 07:45 och kan ta upp till 30 minuter beroende på var du befinner dig. The day was awesome from start to finish! We got picked up at our hotel and our guide, Luís, was waiting for us outside. Right away he was friendly and engaging. As we made our way to through the countryside he told us fun stories and made the trip enjoyable. The first stop was at a small village pastry shop. Then back in the van for a drive through absolutely stunning scenery: terraced vineyards, winding roads, and sweeping mountains. Our next stop was a small vineyard for port tasting. Back in the van for a drive alongside the Duruo River. The next stop was the dock for the river cruise: A gentle sailboat ride with some wine. The cruise was just long enough to get a feeling for the river. Back in the van to our lunch spot for an authentic Portuguese meal (with more wine 😄) . Back into the van for the next leg of the tour: up and up through switchbacks and mountain roads to the final small family run winery. Then time for our final trip: the ride home. It was a full day! Luis shared insights, answered all our questions, had everything set up for us along the way which made the trip worry free and so enjoyable! Luís really went above and beyond to make the trip special. Something I wish I knew before we left: the region gets REALLY hot during the day! (We travelled during early August.)
A wonderful tour with delicious food, amazing wine, and even more amazing sightseeing. My family had the tour to ourselves, and Joana took excellent care of us and was perfectly on-time for picking us up, making sure we were on schedule the entire day. Travelling throughout the Douro Valley felt like going back in time. Endless photo opportunities and the views from the lookouts we stopped at were unreal. When we return to Portugal, we will definitely be doing another tour, and without a doubt, we will be asking for Joana to guide the way- she’s a walking encyclopedia and extremely friendly. A perfect way to spend the day and well-worth the money - I cannot recommend it enough, especially if it is your first time in Portugal.
Seeing the amazing Douro valley is a must when visiting Porto. A long day but worth it. Stops along the way to eat and drink all great. Pedro was our guide and made the day for us!
Wineries are good, especially the second which is very chill. The scenery of Douro valley is unique.
This was a great tour. We visited 2 port wineries and tasted different ports. The explanations about each wine and how they were transformed from grapes to wine was informative and easily understood. The Duoro Valley is so pretty and we made several stops for picture taking. The lunch was delicious and made with ingredients from the region. Our driver and tour guide, Edwardo, was very informed and made sure we saw and did what we came for and even more than I expected. It was a fun day for all of us in the van.

Fantastic tour! Our guide Tuna was highly knowledgeable about the culture and the vineyards. Douro Valley was beautiful and the boat ride was refreshing in the heat . The car was comfortable and air conditioned. Highly recommend!

This tour will go down as one of my most memorable travel experiences ever. The views were unfathomable, and the wine and local food incredible. But our day would not have been the same without our guide Joana. She brought the best energy, was incredibly knowledgeable, and SO funny. She fit in with our group like she was part of the family. She also played a huge part in coordinating my brother’s proposal in the Valley and went above and beyond to make the day perfect. Cannot say enough good things about her and this tour.

What a wonderful, full day! Definitely a small group tour is the way to go! Our guide, Ricardo, met us at our hotel, and we then picked up 4 recent Boston college grads. We had so much fun with them! The drive went by quickly with lots of talk and sights along the way. Ricardo kept things moving smoothly and filled us in on our surroundings. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at small, local restaurant. We took in 2 small wineries for both port and wine tastings. On our 2nd wine tasting stop we were assisted by the young daughter, Rita, of the winery owner. She was delightful. We all purchased extra wine to sip while on the river boat tour, the finale of our day trip. Great sights, fun people, lots of laughs. Memorable day! Thanks, Ricardo, for being our guide!
