We had a great time on this 2-day overnight cruise with the Dora Cruise crew. The food is delicious and the activities offered are very pleasant. The crew is attentive and the manager can help you with your transfers on ninh binh or cat ba or Hanoi! Thanks again Tom for your help!

Amazing experience on thìs cruise. The food and activities were great. It was my birthday at the time so the staff sang happy birthday and provided a delicious cake. All the staff were amazing and very tentative. Hannah, Min and Sophie were all amazing waitresses 😁 highly recommend

The Pro’s: Lovely views. Comfortable room, with floor to ceiling windows and a nice balcony and bathroom. Extra special views from the fab bath. The staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for guests. They should be commended. The Con’s: this is a high turnover trip taken by lots of tourists. We were very efficiently herded around by the tour operator. It was impressive yet ever-so-slightly soulless. The boat is showing a few signs of wear and tear as a result. Don’t expect isolation or eco . In total, I counted 30 ships within the same bay we moored overnight. That said, it was far more tranquil than the streets of Hanoi! Floating litter and discharge from the boats isn’t helping, unfortunately. The soap scum that floated past my balcony after I’d bathed was just a reminder of the impact my trip is having. The food was disappointing ; bland and unremarkable like a hotel buffet. This was a a missed opportunity for the tour operators to make a difference with little extra cost, to provide something more memorable for guests. Far too much MSG was used, I suspect. I fed this back to the head steward at the time. Noticeably, I wasn’t asked to write the obligatory ‘Trip Advisor 5*’ review like the other guests were 😬 Some recommendations: The drinks prices on board were excessive. I’d recommend taking your own drinks and snacks . I had a lovely bottle of wine with me which I was able to drink on my balcony, thanks to the ice bucket and wine glass provided by the staff.

Amazing cruise and brilliant service by Tom. My wife was vegetarian and Tom took great care of her. He went out of his way to get vegetarian food for her in every meal.

Fantastic 24 hours on Dora cruise. Everything was very luxurious and top quality - we even had a bath tub with picture window. I think we paid a little more than some of the other cruises but no regrets for doing so. We were particularly well looked after by our hostess Linn Chi. Thankyou everyone!

Last minute booking (2 days before), messaged company twice leading up to check was all ok but heard nothing, then was cancelled 1 hour before due to pick up (7am) on Xmas day, leaving us rushing to find alternative plans / accommodation. Appreciate it’s peak time & we booked late, but company should update their availability/ Viator should ensure it’s correct, & failing that, they had 2 days to update us. Would not recommend.

This cruise boat is becoming outdated with its decor. Dora list of improvements No emergency procedures in cabin No phone directory in cabin in case of an emergency. Disappointing to see zero recycling by Dora on the cruise. Disappointing to see, Dora staff not making any attempt to pick up floating rubbish with in hands reach of them. No hot water to run the bath in the honeymoon suite. No wifi while boat is moving, even when it’s stopped reception is terrible. Unless you’re happy to pay a premium price stock up on your alcohol, soft drink, water & snacks before starting on the cruise. Halong Bay was disgusting with the amount of rubbish floating around, it would be great to see the Vietnam Government, get involved with all cruise companies and force them all in to clean up levy. It’s 2024 it’s time to protect Halong Bay!

We particularly appreciated the kindness and help of Bruce, the cruise manager. Following a technical problem he managed to find a solution that made us happy for our wedding anniversary: ​​we were upgraded for 1 night in the Presidential Suite on the Erina boat. A magical moment!!!! Thanks Bruce!!! The food during the cruise was very very good.
