Efter splittringens smärta höll Syd- och Nordkorea förhandlingar om vapenvila 1951, och gick så småningom överens om att upprätta den militära gränslinjen (MDL). Denna linje, belägen 2 km från båda sidor, skapade en 4 km bred buffertzon, DMZ. The tour starts early and it is worth it because there are a lot of stops and sightseeing on the way. Won speaks fluent English and is very knowledgeable about the DMZ and Korean history

Sophia was very friendly helpful. She made it fun and interactive. My favorite part was tunnel 3. And we got some great pictures at the bridge. Low to moderate fitness level required for all the hiking.

My 16yo daughter and I absolutely loved this tour, mainly thanks to our expert tour guide Ace! She kept our small group engaged and informed throughout the various locations in the Paju DMZ. We had also added the Gyeongbokgung Palace tour afterwards and Ace was our private guide to all things Joseon-era. There were so many interesting historical details we would never know had we not had Ace. Highly recommend!!!
