I booked this tour the day before I went as were staying nearby. Rita picked us up and took us to her family owned and run farm. What a welcome and what place! High up in the hills with spectacular views for a start. We enjoyed some homemade lemonade and sugared lemons before the tour around the farm. As its on a hill it wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues but we were all able to walk easily up and down. It was at a leisurely pace, unrushed and relaxing. Rita told us the journey from seed to fruit and she and her husband demonstrated how the mother plant is grafted to the father plant. Finished up with more homegrown goodies. Opportunity to buy at end was welcomed, but absolutely no pressure there at all. So glad we did this! Great pictures, memories and goodies to take home. Thank you!
Incredibly informative and beautiful tour by a warm family! My wife and I drove from Positano, and it was definitely worth it. We enjoyed the homemade snacks Rita prepared and trying her limoncello. 10/10
Rita and her husband are an amazing and kind 3rd generation lemon farmers! We enjoyed exploring the orchard while learning everything there is to know about lemons, oranges, and even grapefruit. They were beyond kind and were excited to answer any & all questions. It was neat to be with such passionate people! My wife and I arrived not knowing what to expect & left with a multitude of knowledge and new friends. We highly recommend this experience!!!
We had an amazing time on the farm with the most amazing view. The tour and demonstration were given by the loveliest Italian couple that live and love agriculture and whose family did this for generations. We were picked up at the center of town, and we're given lemonade and a tasting of lemons in the beginning when we met another couple that took the tour with us. It was so authentic, we gained so much knowledge of different types of citrus and the process of growing it (not as easy as you think). We were also shown live exactly how grafting works. At the end we tasted jams, limoncello and even olive oil and got to also buy some. Overall I highly recommend, it was so interesting and fun. Note: the farm is not accessible.
This was a fantastic experience - we were met at our hotel by the lovely Rita who owns the farm and she drove us there. We started off with some delicious slices of sugared lemon and fresh lemonade. Rita then took us around her beautiful and vast lemon tree farm explaining how the trees are grown and all the various stages of them. We were then given a grafting demonstration by her husband, whilst overlooking the most gorgeous view imaginable. After that we went back to the house and were given some more tastings of limoncello, limoncello cream and homemade jams which were all delicious and Rita and her husband were really fun company and we spent some lovely time with them before Rita drove us back to our hotel. I would definitely highly recommend this trip and Rita is so passionate and knowledgeable about her craft having spent a lifetime looking after and farming this land, and it is fascinating to learn all about the trees and different types of lemons and how they are produced. Wonderful!
This was such a wonderful experience; highly recommended if you’re in the Sorrento area! I was picked up by Rita’s son and brought to her idyllic property where she greeted me with lemonade and fresh lemons with sugar. We got a tour of her property and learned how she grafts the trees to create her products. The views from her property are stunning the entire time. After we learned all about the farm and how she does her work, we tried some of her products. Her limoncello and the lemon jam were amazing. My major regret is that I couldn’t get the lemon jam home in my carry on luggage. It was wonderful and Rita’s family is so welcoming and accommodating.
A truly spectacular experience — beautiful setting, very kind and generous hosts (Rita and her dad are lovely), extremely informative and fascinating tour. Can’t recommend highly enough: really personal and quite moving; a huge and welcome contrast to the many big, cookie-cutter commercial tours available. Grazie Rita!
Personal and enriching. Especially for kids.
This experience was very enjoyable. We went with another couple and had a wonderful time. We felt like we were the only thing they hadto do that day and they showed us everything in a very warm and hospitable way. The food that they served was exquisite as well as their delicious limoncellos. It is definitely an experience that if we go back, we would like to do again.
Rita is fantastic, she is a very passionate third generation lemon farmer. She gave us a very enjoyable and authentic experience. We honestly had no idea the work that went into growing lemon s. It was a lovely morning with Rita.
