Den arkeologiska parken Dion är den viktigaste arkeologiska platsen vid berget Olympen i Grekland, belägen i Dion (grekiska: Δίον). I området som omfattas av den arkeologiska parken Dion hittades helgedomar från den hellenistiska och romerska perioden. Parken visar betydelsen av antika Dion i Pierias historia.
Klostret Agios Dionysios i Olympus är ett grekisk-ortodoxt kloster på sluttningarna av berget Olympen, det viktigaste klostret i prefekturen Pieria. Det ligger vid Enipeas-ravinen på en höjd av 850 m. Det ursprungliga klostret, som grundades 1542, förstördes av tyskarna 1943. I närheten finns Saint Dionysius grotta.
Enipeas, floden som korsar flankerna av Mt Olympus och ger detta heliga vatten och fantastiska samspel av pooler och vattenfall hela vägen till Litochoro!
Inbäddat längs foten av berget Olympen ligger en autentisk makedonsk by känd som Litochoro, som går tillbaka till 1300-talet. Det är en vacker och pittoresk plats att njuta av vår lunch med lokal grekisk mat.

We were very excited to take this tour, but unfortunately it was canceled by the tour operator less than 48 hours before the scheduled departure. The initial reason provided was “low availability,” though we later learned that the driver had been involved in a car accident and no replacement was available. While we understand that unexpected situations can arise, the last-minute cancellation was disappointing, especially since tour options in Thessaloniki were limited and it left us without time to make alternative plans. We were looking forward to this experience and were sorry to miss it.

The Mercedes is extremely comfortable and Janny is a great driver and Gina provided insights to the area. We were blessed with sunshine half way thru the tour. The waterfall hike and a discussion with greek priest were very memorable and spiritual! Highly recommend f 9r a personal journey!
