Resplan

We had a great day! The organization was at the top, even if it may seem short on some activities like the IK KIL cenote, we can still enjoy all the programming of the day. Everything is very well thought out, breakfast, water bottles, passage to the toilet, buffet. The guides pay close attention to everyone, explain well and repeat the departure times well. I recommend. Ps: there are many detours to playa del carmen. Allow 3 hours for return On the way, we have a lag of - 1 hour arriving in the Yucatán region so it makes up for time spent on the road, We were not disturbed, the solo organization was even more painful to do less than that!
Merci de nous avoir laissé un commentaire aussi détaillé et de nous avoir permis de partager cette expérience avec vous.
We enjoyed our experience on this tour. However, we do wish the day was a bit shorter. We were picked up in Tulum, then transported to Playa Del Carmen where we got on another bus. If we were aware of this, we could’ve been picked up in Playa Del Carmen instead. It took us over 3 hours to get home. The bus ride was also primarily in Spanish, as only five people spoke english on the tour. The tour guide would translate, but we found ourselves confused at times. All of the activities were cool, but we were only given about an hour at each. More time at the cenotes would’ve been better. We also could’ve skipped the town at the end, as there wasn’t much to do, we were tired, and we were only given 20 minutes there. We had a fun day with this tour, but the day could’ve been condensed a few hours and translated better.
We are happy that overall you had a great day, we'll take note on your comments and we'll keep improving We hope to see you again soon, Mexico has plenty more to offer!
Truly terrible communication throughout. Supposed to a tour in English, but was almost entirely in Spanish. Only a few sentences in English, always accompanied by a pleasant apology for not being fluent in English. In Valladolid, due to communication confusion I missed the departure bus. Still not sure what the issue was, but I believe I misunderstood the meet up location. Ended up taking a taxi back to Tulum. Trip was advertised on TripAdvisor as being in English and from Tulum. Trip was actually from another location and used a shuttle van that was over an hour away for shuttle van to eventually meet up with the tour bus.
The tour guides speak english and spanish, there were multiple explanations and stories from start to finish in english You refused to follow instructions or to pay attention on the multiple attempts from the guides to give you the instructions You had a companion, your partner did arrived at the meeting point because your partner DID pay attention. We tried to call you multiple times, the staff waited for you and we never received any answer The trip was indeed from Tulum, you even said that on your review, why would you try to change that?
Our guide, Christian, was amazing and engaging. We learned soooo much about the Mayan civilization prior to arriving at the ruins and even more through our guide while there. The cenotes were beautiful and such a unique experience. It was a great day and opened up lots of conversation in our family.
Our guides take the time spent at the transportation as an opportunity to spread knowledge of the Mayan Culture We appreciate the kind wirds towards the guides and the experience, the Mayan traditions are su rich in culture and nature appreciation
The cenote il kil was beautiful, definitely worth a visit. The second cenote was okay. Overall had a good experience despite the negatives. I wasn't quiet expecting us to go from tulum to playa and then from there. Otherwise I would have booked another tour going just from tulum direct. It was a 14.5 hour day. I was a bit disappointed that at the end of the day we had to take extra guests which added an hour to our trip, who were all dropped off at their hotels. Then we were dropped in tulum to walk home in the rain at a main super market. Lastly, I feel like things weren't explained well in English which seems to be a common theme in Tulum, probably no point booking a tour in English.
We are glad that you enjoyed and liked the locations of the tour. Chichen Itza goes perfect with a couple of cenotes Yes, it's a long way to each location but the trip is worth it. The best way to arrive at Chichen Itza from Tulum is trough Playa del Carmen The tour is advertised as shared, other people were going to be dropped off We appreciate the detailed review, we'll keep working to improve the tour and the staff performance
Let me be very clear here from the start, Mexico is an amazing place and Tulum has some of the most amazing natural sights you can see. The Mexican people are generally wonderful people as well. But this place, Tulum is a place you visit once if you are very careful and very adventurous and never go back! This is the worst tourist trap I have ever been to, and I have travelled all over the world to over 20 countries! People there have become so desperate and greedy! The stories of police stopping tourists and doing random searches that make your money and valuables disappear are true, I saw it. Literally everyone in Tulum overcharges you for everything. 4000 pesos for a day taxi with driver? Yup. Booked a tour and the agent cheated us, charging additional fees that were not mentioned in the listing. They could not be reached by phone or email to find out pickup time, only contacting us last minute to let us know. We were charged an additional 'environmental fee' of $27 US dollars per person. This I can accept., but what was not acceptable was the agent insisting on charging us this additional fee bringing the total extra to over $100 US. To make it worse, they added another $10 randomly when we got on the bus. Be prepared to pay! But you may decide it's worth it. Maybe not the best place to go with kids...
Hello, you did not experience our tour. You are leaving this review to the wrong company Not all the tours for Chichen Itza are the same, there are different operators
Everything went really well, nice and funny tour guides, we had a great but long day! First you get a small packed lunch on the bus for the way to Valladolid, then you drive to the first cenote and then to the highlight Chichen Itza! It was extremely hot but our guides provided you with plenty of cold water! We would also recommend a hat and sunscreen! The guide on the tour at Chichen Itza gave us a lot of information. Then we went to the last destination, where you could have a delicious lunch and then cool off in the second cenote! The journey back is long but you are so tired from the day it is perfect for sleeping :)
It was a long day, and the transportation wasn’t too comfortable, but the trip was overall enjoyable and the tour guide had a lot of useful information.
Thank you for your notes! We are happy that you enjoyed the tour overall
Excellent experience !! Very good service from Manuel, Luis, and Adolfo. A comfortable trip and very good food. The guys are very friendly.
Gracias por compartir esta aventura con nosotros y nuestros guías Nos alegra que haya disfrutado de su visita, Chichen Itza y los cenotes son lugares increíbles Esperamos poder compartir más aventuras con ustedes
It’s difficult to give a star rating because what you see is great but there are also negatives. Chichen Itza is amazing. To do it justice I’d you’re really interested in the history etc you need longer and a proper guide talking you through the whole site. I would recommend going private or independently with an audio guide. The two cenotes are great. Both very different. Valladolid is nice to visit. The negatives… Transportation is not comfortable and you are in it for a looooong time! Very cramped and a little claustrophobic (I’m a small person too!) It is a long day. From Tulum it was 15 hours until we returned at nearly 10pm. It was too long to really appreciate what you were experiencing which should have been Chichen Itza, instead that got lost a little. The guides were great. Friendly and funny and tried to keep everything moving along but it was a multi-lingual tour so difficult to follow the story going from Spanish to English despite our guide doing his best and being very good. It’s all personal preference but, for me, is recommend paying a bit extra to go private and not have to do quite so much all on one day. Then you can also spend longer at the highlight of the day, Chichen Itza.
A Private tour would cost around 600+ USD instead of the 115 USD you paid, only having Chichen Itza and 1 Cenote Even in a Private Tour the time would be significantly long, the times between location will always be long Thank you for the pointers and the description of the experience, it's important to be aware of the entire situation. Knowing private tours makes you appreciate the shared ones
