Beautiful Bordeaux is well worth seeing but the over 2 hour bus trip each way meant that over 4 hours of a 7 hour trip was spent travelling through not specially interesting countryside Out guide Vic was excellent with enthusiasm and good English I’m in New York City

Very well organised tour, the tour guide Caroline was excellent, full commentary right from the start of the journey until we arrived. At the destination we were given earpieces which made the tour a great experience, we had free time to get lunch and wander about, returned to the ship in plenty of time before sailing.
Victor was amazing! Clearly explained the history of the place and the surprise at the end was a nice touch! The city is breathtaking.

Emma did a fantastic walking tour of Bordeaux. Except she said nothing to us on the two hour drive from port to Bordeaux. I’m used to tour guides giving a commentary during the drive. I’d like to have learned about each town we drove through and one item that made the town unique. I’ve had this on other tours - so I felt that this tour missed a huge opportunity. Especially for the price. By the way, you don’t go into any venue so if you want to see Cathedral and Bell Tower, you’ll want to consider a different tour. I didn’t realize this upfront and free time wasn’t sufficient to run back to tour these places.

Regarding the transfer from Le Verdon to Bordeaux, our guides do provide commentary as part of their standard procedure and training. During this part of the journey, the focus is on broader context about the region, the Médoc wine area, and France in general, rather than detailed descriptions of each small town along the route. The towns passed during the transfer are largely small, modern settlements that were heavily impacted during the Second World War and rebuilt afterwards. As such, they offer limited historical or cultural points of interest, and the commentary reflects this reality. Once in Bordeaux, the detailed city-specific guiding is intentionally provided during the walking tour itself. Regarding site visits, the tour is designed as an external guided experience of Bordeaux, with free time included. Entry into specific monuments such as the Cathedral or Bell Tower is not part of the itinerary and is described accordingly. We appreciate you sharing your expectations, and your comments are noted.
We docked and met as planned. Had a long drive through awesome small communities. When at Bordeaux we walked for 1 1/2hr on streets and sidewalks learning old histories. Our guide was profession, fun and helpful. If you don't want to walk on the uneven sidewalks for this long walk there are shops to go to and meet up.

Great trip to Bordeaux from the Sky Princess, Victor was an excellent tour guide very knowledgeable. The wine tasting at the end was the perfect way to end the tour.
Victor was a great guide! He is very knowledgeable & his English is great. This was a shore excursion from Le Verdon. Victor walked us around the beautiful city of Bordeaux for 90 minutes then we had 90 minutes to wander around on our own. I highly recommend this tour.
It’s a great way to see the city on your own time. We were in a cruise with limited time so this was our best option. It’s quite a drive but worth seeing. Bordeaux is a gorgeous city!! The bus was very comfortable and even had a restroom in it.
