Shala River resa är en stor båttur. Turen till Shala River är ett speciellt båttursprogram exklusivt utformat för att erbjuda deltagarna den bästa kombinationen av orörd vild natur, oförglömlig båttur genom hjärtat av de albanska Alperna, lokal folklore och traditioner. Under turen kommer du att kunna besöka en av attraktionerna i norra Albanien, som kombinerar en mängd spännande utomhusaktiviteter med gott om tid att bekanta sig med den lokala gastronomin och kulturen. På dagen båttur vi får på en båt som tar oss genom Komani Lake till Shala River erbjuder spektakulär utsikt över de albanska Alperna, vattenfall, landsbygd byar och vilda skogar. Det anses av många som en exotisk upplevelse i kombination med lokalbefolkningens oöverträffade gästfrihet.

Resenärer kommer att ha möjlighet att äta lunch i värdshusen runt sjön som erbjuder möjlighet att njuta av traditionell mat. Du kan utveckla andra aktiviteter som att simma i det öppna vattnet, paddla kajak längs floden, upptäcka de underbara landskapen, vandra i bergen och upptäcka våra lokala traditioner.
Båten korsar hela sjön Koman för att nå Shala floden vilket ger dig möjlighet att njuta av skönheten i jungfrulig natur. Den blå och kalla färgen på vattnet är kännetecknande för denna flod, de branta klipporna som omger den, ser ut som om de rör vid himlen.

It was a very hot day and unfortunately the coaches air con was below par which made the 4 hours in total uncomfortable. On arrival there is a 400 m walk in a tunnel to the boats. The scenic boat trip lasted 1.5 hours each way. At Shala River there were plenty of restaurants and loungers and quite a few were paddling. A fun trip for youngsters.

The trip was well organized and the scenery was beautiful. Once we got to Shala River it felt tacky with so many boats and blaring music coming from several restaurants. We paid 10 Euro for a couple of sun-beds and an umbrella to relax under. We swam in the incredibly clear water but be warned it is coming straight from the mountains and it is freezing!
The trip from Shkoder to Lake Koman and Shala River was incredible! We had a 2 hour bus ride to the ferry pickup location, and we went on some very precarious roads. The driver was experienced and got us there quickly. Once on the ferry, our guide/captain was extremely friendly! He told us some Albanian history, and his own history growing up in a village on Lake Koman. He also stopped the boat in some scenic locations for us all to get some pictures. At the Shala River there were a bunch of restaurants, a hiking trail, and places to swim. We had about 3 hours to explore once we got there. Overall would give this trip a 10/10, definitely the best thing we did on our trip to Albania!

Such a great day out. Easy to find the pick up point. Amazing guides and drivers. Plenty of time at the river. Food was very reasonably priced. The views are incredible. Really recommend.

Question Are there enough opportunities to go to the bathroom? Can we book a full-day tour between 24 and 27 April?
Ja, jullie kunnen zeker een dagtour boeken tussen 24 en 27 april 😊 De boottocht duurt ongeveer 1 uur, dus meestal is er geen behoefte aan een toilet tijdens de vaart. Bij de haven waar we vertrekken zijn er toiletten beschikbaar, en ook bij aankomst aan de Shala River zijn er restaurants met faciliteiten. Laat ons gerust weten als jullie nog vragen hebben!
Quite a good experience. Message received the day before confirming our attendance, with the exact pick up location and the bus registration (this changed the day of but one of the drivers came to speak to us when we arrived and put us on the correct mini bus). The journey is very bumpy but good driving. Arrived and location and placed on a boat, another group was placed on the same boat before this left. No further communication at all. On arrival at the location the other tour group were told to be back at the boat for 2pm but we were not given any information - we arrived back for 2pm which was the correct time for us as well. The location is lovely, not too busy and the trip caused no real issues. On arrival back at the starting point of the boat we were met by the driver who collected us and ushered us to a different bus but again this was no problem. Good tour in all
What a day! This trip from Shkodër to the Shala River was one of the most beautiful experiences I had in Albania. It started with a comfortable bus ride to Koman, and I must say — Rivio, our driver, was great. Quiet, professional and incredibly friendly. You immediately noticed that he knew those roads like the back of his hand. From Koman we got on a boat and sailed through the breathtaking landscape of Lake Koman — steep cliffs, deep green water and a silence broken only by the gentle hum of the engine. When we got to the Shala River... wow. It's like stepping into a postcard. Crystal clear turquoise water, perfect for swimming, surrounded by unspoilt nature. Everything was excellently arranged by Travel North Albania. No stress, no hassle — just pure enjoyment. If you are in the north and looking for a day of adventure and tranquility, then this trip is an absolute must. I'd do it again in no time.
The trip from Shkodra to the Shala River was simply magical. The boat ride across Komani Lake offers breathtaking views of towering mountains and crystal-clear waters that leave you speechless. When you arrive at the Shala River, it feels like stepping into a hidden paradise – the water is so turquoise and pure that it looks like the Caribbean, but surrounded by Albania’s wild nature.
