Njut av en heldags privat resa från Tirana till Kosovo, besöka de två viktigaste städerna: Prizren och Pristina. Du kommer att utforska Prizrens gamla stad med sin stenbro, basar och ottomanska landmärken, fortsätt sedan till Pristina för att se det nyfödda monumentet, Moder Teresas katedral och det berömda nationalbiblioteket. Vi ska avgå från Tirana och korsa Albaniens norra delar, varpå vi ska korsa gränsen till Kosovo. Denna relativt nya motorväg som förbinder de två länderna har blivit en symbol för att stärka deras förbindelser och enhet. Landskapet kommer att förändras från storstadsstaden Tirana till mer lantliga och tidigare gruvstäder. Beläget cirka 260 kilometer från Tirana ligger Kosovos huvudstad och största stad: Pristina. Boendet sedan den gamla stenåldern, från den antika Vinča-kulturen, är en av de mest fascinerande arkeologiska och historiska platserna.
Beläget i hjärtat av Pristina, fylls det storslagna biblioteket av över två miljoner kopior av material, en del går tillbaka till 1400-talet. Dess arkitektur är ett utmärkt exempel på jugoslavisk brutalism och är en mästerlig syntes av bysantinsk, ottomansk och serbisk design, vilket gör den till ett veritabelt mikrokosmos av staden. Sedan 1982 har biblioteket fungerat som Kosovos nationalbibliotek och fortsätter att erbjuda en majestätisk inblick i dess förflutna.

Compared to other neighboring countries this is probably the least popular one so instead of a big bus we were on a 20 person van. Initially I was worried that the trip won't happen due to lack of interest but today we managed to have a group of 15, mostly Americans. First we went to Pritzen then Pristina. Time we spent in both cities were very brief since the way back is a 4 hour drive. But we managed to see the key sights (both cities are small) and had a great meal in Pristina at the end. Border crossing was a breeze. Meetup was 6:30am and we got back into town around 9:30pm. Overall worth the trip if you just want to say you made it to another new country. It's a great way to transport into Kosovo as well instead of taking a public bus from Tirana. Bring an umbrella in the summer. It gets REALLY hot.
Before going on this day trip, I didn't know much about the cities we were visiting. Seeing both Pristina and Prizren were worth the visit! I would definitely recommend taking this tour, and we had a fantastic guide to take us through the trip!
Wonderful tour with Armando. Had a great time seeing beautiful Kosova and learning about the history. Armando was really helpful and supportive with my friend who started feeling travel sick and everyone was able to have a wonderful day. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed the opportunity to visit Kosovo from Tirana. Armando was very knowledgeable and passionate about Albanian and Kosovo history. He was very friendly and accommodating, even taking us to the best ice cream shop in Prizren and hanging out with us. Kosovo was beautiful with an emotional history and beautiful charm. Armando was able to convey the magic of Kosovo and we had a lot of laughs and fun in the process! He also takes great photos!

This trip has the potential to be very good, but you have to have a good guide. Our guide was unpleasant and extremely unprofessional. He spent an enormous amount of time arguing with one of the customers on multiple occasions. The scenes were disturbing. He had difficulty answering some questions and his English was difficult to understand. Finally, the air conditioning in the van was not working on an extremely hot day. This was the worst guides I have ever had during my long life of travel. Viator, you need to investigate this.

On the very same tour date, we received three separate 5-star reviews praising both the experience and the guide, which can easily be verified on the same Viator tour and date. Regarding the "argument" you mentioned, our understanding is that this was a conversation between the guide and one of our guests, Farrouk. They got along very well during the tour, have remained in contact ever since, and have actually become good friends. Nevertheless, if this interaction made you uncomfortable, we sincerely regret that, as it was certainly never intended to create that impression. As for the air conditioning, the vehicle's A/C was fully functional throughout the tour. Unfortunately, the rear blower stopped working unexpectedly on the return journey. This was a sudden mechanical issue, and the driver did his best to manage the situation and ensure everyone returned safely and comfortably under the circumstances. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us, and we never ignore constructive feedback. Our guide was great and made the trip enjoyable. It’s a great chance to see another country without the stress of driving yourself. The only downside was that our van had 3 seats that were rear facing and the A/C was broken. Our guide did his best to resolve the problem.
