Pisa, födelseplatsen för Galileo Galilei, är känd för sina arkitektoniska konstverk och har mycket att erbjuda. Den ligger på en vidsträckt slätt i höjd med havet och delas i två delar av floden Arno. I Pisa kommer vi att besöka "Mirakelfältet", där Pisas många legendariska monument står: det lutande tornet, katedralen, "Campo Santo"-kyrkogården, baptisteriet och katedralmuseet.
Från Pisa kör vi till Siena genom Toscanas natursköna vägar. I Siena kommer vi att utforska Piazza del Campo såväl som andra historiska monument.

Du kommer till San Gimingano, där silhuetten som består av de 14 återstående tornen och utsikten ovanifrån och under dem kommer att bedöva dig och få dig att känna att du har tagit ett steg tillbaka i tiden. San Gimignano reser sig på en kulle (334m hög) som dominerar Elsadalen med sina torn som går tillbaka till 1000-talet. Väl framme i San Gimignano kommer du också att se "Duomo" eller Collegiate Church, "Palazzo del Popolo", "Palazzo Nuovo del Podesta" (som nu är rådhuset), S. Agostino-kyrkan, Museet för heliga reliker , och det ökända tortyrmuseet, som visar tidiga tortyrinstrument. På en lättare ton, det finns många butiker som säljer lokala produkter, inklusive Vernaccia-vinet.

An excellent tour to escape the hustle and bustle of the city of Florence. While the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa was a key landmark of this trip, the quaint hilltop village of San Gimignano and the breathtaking Cathedral of Siena stole the show. Our guide Matteo was incredibly knowledgeable about virtually every subject we chatted about throughout the trip and he also treated us to a surprise secret spot for an incredible panoramic view of the entire city of Florence, away from the typical Piazzale Michaelangelo. If you get Matteo as your guide, you are sure to have an unforgettable experience!

What a wonderful day trip! Mario is an excellent guide with a lot of information about the places we visited, entertaining during the drive and a lot patience for all the photos we took and time spent at the wine tasting. The day trip started with a visit to Pisa first and then we spent the rest of the day in Tuscany enjoying the beautiful towns of Siena and San Gimignano, driving through wine country and spending an excellent time at a vineyard with a wine tasting. I can 100% recommend this private trip for a personal experience and a day to remember.
