En av de främsta anledningarna att besöka Shahrisabz är att se bergspass och landsbygdsområdet i Usbekistan. Vägen börjar med vingårdar, fruktträd, grönsaker och son. Långsamt kommer höjden att förändras och fälten kommer att ersättas av kullar och så småningom av Rocky Mountains. "Teshik Tosh" eller "Rock with the Hole" är det första stoppet för att utforska det otroliga arbetet som gjorts av modern natur. Den legendariska filmen "Apachen" med den berömda Gojko Miticen sköts på samma plats på grund av likheten med den amerikanska sydvästra prärie.

Ak Saray Palace (White Palace). Byggnadens dimensioner kan uppfattas när man tittar på grindtornen: de två tornen var 50 m höga och hade en båge med en längd på 22 m. Byggnaderna förstördes i 16: e centen. vid order av herskeren av Bukhara, Abdullah Khan.
År 1435 byggdes Kok-Gumbaz-moskén ("Blue Dome") mittemot Kulyal's mausoleum och på samma axel. Inskriptionen på portalen säger om sin konstruktion av Ulugbek på uppdrag av sin fader Shah Rukh. Det spelade rollen som Juma-moskén, det vill säga Friday Cathedral Mosque of Shahrisabz.
Skapandet av ett arkitektoniskt ensemble Dorut-Tilavat madrasah daterar huvudsakligen till Ulugbeks regeringstid. Först och främst uppfördes ett kupolt mausoleum över Sheikh Kuls grav, på resterna av några tidigare byggnader. Promenera ta fantastiska bilder med den gigantiska blå kupolen över fredagen moskén och de invecklade bågarna.
Du kommer att träffa massor av lokala folk här och speciellt bröllopsfester. Det ligger i mitten av nybult park med grönska och blommor och du kan ha en fantastisk glass i en av de "chayhanas" (traditionella tehus) där med snidade träkolumner.

The guide explained well the history and told interesting facts The driver was really nice and caring and had amazing driving skills and the mountain restaurant where we went was amazing I also liked drivers music playlist which made the car journey enjoyable Really nice day spent in their company Thank you both👌

There are 2 options, one is purely a driver, the other a guide. I chose the latter which fee is higher. The driver who drove us to the scenic spot of Shahrisabz does not speak English and didn't introduce or provide any tourist information during the ride. Our car (BYD) is good modern and cozy. After arriving at the main attraction of the trip which is beautiful, there was a English speaking guide.

The guide didn’t speak 1 word English, he had to use google translate and even then he didn’t know much about the history etc What a waste of time Ensure your guide speaks English otherwise do not book this tour

The climate was extremely hot and the AC in the car was very bad. The driver switched off the AC many times. If the trip started in the afternoon and ended by sunset it would have been better as the days are very very hot and we were boiling inside the car. The driver was a very good man and he was very courteous. Only issue is that he doesn't speak English.

The whole "tour" consists in a Russian speaking taxi driver coming to pick you up from your hotel and driving you to Shahrisabz. You can find something WAY cheaper just stopping a taxi driver in Samarkand by yourself. We were supposed to have a tour in English and all we got was this old guy who did not understand a word. Avoid this!

The service offered is just a driver. He could give some basic instructions in English. The drive took about 2 hours one way, went through a beautiful landscape, and included some interesting photo stops. The sights in Shahrisabz are not as spectacular as at other places in Uzbekistan but still worth seeing. For me, it was a relaxing and enjoyable trip before my flight back to Europe the next day.
