Resplan

Really great day out, port authorities are very well organised and had us through quickly. Ferry is big and seating inside, this isn’t a nice calm cruise, it’s fast and quite choppy. Rhodes was very picturesque, we looked around the harbour and old town, really lovely place. Highly recommended

Did day trip from Marmaris. You need your passports as visiting another country but more duty free opportunities! Early start pick up at 730 ferry takes about 45 minutes. Due to new time zone you get there about 10 and need to be back about 5 hours later. Enough time to wander enjoy the spectacular views and one museum and a nice lunch. We did a rooftop restaurant was v nice. Could spend two days here to see and visit the museums but was a lovely day out. Busy getting through customs on way back for 4 o’clock ferry. Back at hotel about 7. Cost us £50 per person including transfers to ferry. Definitely worth a visit!

A day trip to Rhodes! Sounds exciting, but be warned, a trip that takes @ day but no5 that much time in Rhodes. Coach pick up time is 7.35 am. You’ll get to the the port at Marmaris in 30 minutes or so. Then, queue number one for passport check and obtain boarding cards. Then, queue number two, passport control. Hey, eventually the boat pulls out at 9am. Into Rhodes at 10.35 and into queue number three; passport control (Again!) By about 11.10 we were into Rhodes at last. We must be back at the boat terminal god 3.15pm. So, after 4.5 hours we are back at the terminal, into a queue (number four) for passport control. At 4.00 pm the boat heads for Marmaris. At 5.30pm we dock and into another queue, number five, for passport control. By Labour 6.15 we boarded our bus for Içmellor, getting back about 6.45pm. A relaxing day in Rhodes? You must be joking!

Great day out to visit another country whilst on holiday! Can be a lengthy process at the port to check your passport, port fees security, But once passed all the normality the boat is air conditioned, has a bar on board for drinks and snacks. Takes about an hour or so each way, great way to view another country as you enter the waters, plenty to look at and see. You pull into the port in the Old Town of Rhodes, great to experience the little alleys surrounding the castle full Of shops, restaurants bars . Not too expensive.

We took the boat from Marmaris to Rhodes for the day and what a brilliant day it was, the trip cost £40pp through our Jet2 rep at the hotel. We were picked up around 7:35am for an 8:45 departure, when you arrive at the port to check in you have to pay a £13 port tax fee then you go through passport control and security before setting off, the trip to Rhodes took around 1 hour and 15 mins. When you get to Rhodes, again you go through passport control, you arrive a 5 minute walk from the old town which is beautiful, we spent most of our day here looking around the shops and stopping for some lunch. You can walk around this area to the main shopping area with all your designer shops / high street stores if you would rather do that. There was also open top tour buses which were €15pp and you can go on and off all day to see more of the area if you would rather do that. The ferry back to Marmaris departed at 4pm and we were back in our hotel for 6pm.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a amazing review - it's much appreciated!
The historic city and the close distance to Turkeys made it worthed. Logistic information and time management with immigration, customs and waiting lines under 40 C was awful.
