En naturskön, 40 minuters bilresa från Oxfords centrum tar oss till kanten av Cotswolds och den vackra byn Bampton - även om fans av en viss TV-show kanske känner det bättre som "Downton"! Det finns caféer och butiker här för att fylla på med snacks och en liten Downton Abbey utställning för superfans!
Efter en 15 - minuters bilresa från Bampton, kommer vi fram till den vackra byn Shilton - en dold pärla här i Cotswolds! Denna charmiga by ligger utanför turiststråket, tyst och lugnt, med en mycket pittoresk vadställe (flod som korsar gatan). Det är en vacker plats att stanna och bli snap-glad med din kamera!
Lämnar Shilton, tar vi de natursköna småvägarna (30 minuter), via de vackra byarna Eastleach och Coln St Aldwyn's, för att komma fram till ditt nästa stopp - den populära byn Bibury. Bibury är hem till den berömda Arlington Row av stugor och beskrivs ofta som "den vackraste byn i England". Titta själv!
16 - sits minibussar kan resa på vägar som är olämpliga för större bussar - och den 40 - minuters natursköna rutten från Bibury till Bourton-on-the-Water är ett perfekt exempel på detta! Vi slingrar oss fram genom den vackra Coln Valley och kommer fram till byn Bourton-on-the-Water (en by där större bussar inte kan parkera). Du kommer att ha ungefär 1 timme 15 minuter ledig tid här för att utforska denna vackra by vid floden. Kanske äta lunch i någon av de många charmiga te-rum eller kaféer, promenera längs floden Windrush, handla presenter eller besöka ett lokalt museum.
Att lämna Bourton-on-the-Water, en 25 minuters bilresa - passerar genom de vackra byarna Great Barrington och Taynton - tar oss till din sista anhalt i den historiska Cotswold marknadsstaden Burford. Vandra uppför ”The Hill” för vackra stugor och vidsträckta vyer, handla presenter och antikviteter, eller ta en cream tea i en av de lokala te-rummen. Missa inte den imponerande ”ullkyrkan” St. John The Baptist med sin överraskande historia!

- Om du anländer till Oxford med tåg, notera att vår pick-up punkt är en 10 - 15 minuters promenad från Oxford järnvägsstation.
- Uber och liknande tjänster är inte allmänt tillgängliga i Oxford och Cotswolds, och lokala taxibilar kan vara svårt att boka sista minuten. Vi rekommenderar starkt att boka taxi i förväg eller använda kollektivtrafik där det är möjligt.

This was a truly special tour that perfectly captured the quintessential villages and beautiful countryside of England. Thanks to the small group and bus size, we were able to visit quieter, hidden-gem villages untouched by mass tourism, alongside the more well-known spots. At each destination, we were given the perfect amount of free time to explore and enjoy at our own pace. Peter was an incredibly kind and knowledgeable guide who brought the history and culture of England to life. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an authentic look at the English countryside! (Note to the tour company: Peter kindly took a group souvenir photo of us, but I haven't received it via email yet. I would be so grateful if you could check on this, as I would love to have a copy to remember this wonderful trip!)

Book it! Absolutely amazing! The guide was talking lound and clear, he was easy to follow and so wonderful that we got to see some of the less touristy villages as well! The only thing was that in Burton-on-the-water - 1hour,15min was too little. Should have had 2 hours here. So many cute shops and things we wanted to see, but had every little time to discover when we also needed to eat. But absolutely amazing trip!

The tour was wonderful. The visited towns were charming. Our guide, Pete, was very friendly, and his pronunciation of English was very clear and easy to understand. The stories he told were very interesting and entertaining. 100% recommendable. The only detail is that we would have liked to spend more time at each stop; a suggestion is to extend the duration of the excursion.

Lots of nice villages and towns but not enough time between stops. Some stops were not really necessary and staying longer to the most busy places would have been nicer. The driver was very kind and helpful with lots of information to share between locations
