Vårt första stopp är Assin Manso Slave Ancestral River Site där de förslavade förfäderna tog sitt sista bad innan de flyttade dem till Cape Coast och Elmina slott för slutlig leverans. Efter Assin Manso flyttar vi till Cape Coast Castle för den viktigaste historien om slavhandeln under Transatlantiska Slavhandeln Era och ser DÖRREN UTAN ÅTERVÄNDNING. Efter slottet får vi njuta av vandringen till Kakum nationalpark när vi går in på Canopy Walk i parken. Gör dig redo för en spännande men fysiskt krävande (15 - 20 minuter) vandring i en tät regnskog. Vi ska klättra uppför en backe så bär sportiga skor, sneakers och ansiktshandduk till skogsvandringen. OBS: 3 alternativ att välja mellan. Deltagarna kommer att gå på en vandring genom regnskogen och gå på Canopy Walk Way.
Cape Coast Castle fungerade som ett av de slavslott som byggdes vid Ghanas stränder. Det fungerade också som administrationscentrum för brittiskt styre i Västafrika. Deltagarna kommer att besöka museet och fängelsehålorna där slavar hölls i väntan på leverans till den nya världen.
vi besöker platsen för slavfloden Assin Manso som fungerade som platsen där slavarna badade sitt sista bad på afrikansk mark innan de marscherades ner till slavslotten. De matades och rengjordes så att de verkade attraktiva och hälsosamma för att garantera högre priser. varma märkesjärn användes för att bränna identifieringsmärken på fångars hud. Märkena var ett ärr på axeln, bröstet eller överarmen för att visa ägarskap. Andra gånger användes branding för att visa att vederbörlig tull hade betalats. det är nu en helig minnesplats. det är hem för de två första diaspororna (Lady Crystal från Jamaica och Samuel Carson från New York) vars kvarlevor fördes till Ghana genom "återvändandets dörr" och begravdes på nytt. Även rester av afrikanska slavarättlingar från Barbados är begravda på platsen för att symbolisera frigörelse och återanslutning.

Foster was the absolute best. He communicated prior to pick. He was on time. He also explained about construction and the delay it would cause. For the past five years I’ve been studying my ancestry and I believe this trip is a necessity for everyone in the African diaspora. The long drive from my hotel to Slave River was so worth it for the wealth knowledge you receive from the tour guides. Jeff was a great driver and accommodating to my family needs. If you’re debating which castle to go to, Elmina is a must.

The history and significance of the Slave River and Castles were palpable and powerful. However the knowledge and flexibility of the guide along with the cleanliness of the transportation were less than desirable. Although this is not the accountabilty of the tour operator visitors should be alerted to the fact that because of road conditions the 95 mile drive can take 4 to 5 hours.
I am sorry you experienced that and we will take your review seriously in order to correct issues raised but our guide explained to you that portion of the road is under construction before the journey began so we are surprised you raised it that the guide didn't tell you about the nature of and the hours it will take but in all we accept it and we shall henceforth inform our cherish clients ahead of time and we shall make sure the vehicle is very cleaned to that standard you prefer before using it. What a memorable day on this tour with the excellent guide, Freedom! He was on time, so knowledgeable, and Kadelo Travels was very communicative. Being a solo female traveler on this tour, most importantly, I felt safe. This is a heavy tour but so important to see, and I’m so glad I did. I left Assin Manso and Cape Coast Castle deep in thought and contemplation. I chose the canopy walk as the third destination, but you could pick from either that or Elmina Castle. Freedom was so knowledge and shared the Ghanaian hospitality I’d heard so much about. Thank you guys for an amazing, eye-opening tour! I will use Kadelo Travels whenever I returned to Ghana.
