Efter frukosten kommer vår förarguide att välja dig från ditt hotell och köra till Kilimanjaro nationalpark Londorossi-porten som ligger på västra sidan av berget och upp genom skogarna till Londorossi-porten på en höjd av 2 100 meter. Därefter börjar du din vandring genom tropiska montane skogar, hem till en mängd olika djur och fågelliv. Med hjälp av din guide kan du upptäcka colobusapor, krönade turacos och mer. Du fortsätter upp till den stora Shira-platån, på 3 400 meter. Du kommer att njuta av din lunch och fortsätt sedan till Shira 1 Camp, Lion Gorge och foten av Shira Pinnacle. Kilimanjaros ikoniska snötäckta bordsskiva, Kibo Peak, borde vara synlig härifrån, liksom närliggande glaciärer. Det är också möjligt att köra hela vägen upp till Shira-platån och sedan försiktigt utforska omgivningarna till fots om du inte är lämpad att göra längre vandring. Efter att ha tagit bilder och njut av den närmare utsikten över berget börjar du gå ner till porten Londorossi och senare köra till ditt hotell i Moshi.

Great views! We had good luck with the weather. Got a Kilimanjaro fealing. Remind you are entering 3000m altitude in a sudden and dont forget sunprotection.

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with KLM Safaris was an incredible quest journey that really deserves to be done repeatedly. As a landscape ecology and nature conservation scientist we actually did a lot, we hiked up to Mandara hut then we soared further to Maundi Crater watching a very nice view from the top of the crater to inside. Along the way to Mandara hut we saw beautiful mother nature (salient diversity of flora and fauna). The trip was also good for healthy exercising as weel getting an opportunity to discuss further research projects that can be carried out within the mountain landscape. We were nicely treated and the services were gorgeous from the start to the end. Millions of thanks to Dr. Gilead Minja and his team for generosity quality service and caring.
