My partner and I were extremely disappointed with this safari. We specifically booked an English-speaking guided safari, but we received almost no guiding at all. There were two guides in our vehicle. One spent most of the trip speaking Spanish to the Spanish-speaking couple seated behind us, while the guide who was supposed to be our English-speaking guide spent much of the drive speaking Swahili with the Kenyan couple seated in front of us. As a result, both other couples received a guided experience in their own languages, while we were largely ignored. Apart from the occasional whispered “this is a zebra” or “this is a leopard,” we received virtually no information about the wildlife, their behaviour, or the park. In fact, I learned more by overhearing the Spanish guide than from the guide who was supposed to be guiding us in English. Another English-speaking guest in the vehicle also commented that there was effectively no English-speaking guiding. He only heard slightly more because he was sitting next to the driver. I raised this issue with the guide on the first day and asked him to start explaining what we were seeing. I repeated my request several times on the second day, but nothing changed. The biggest frustration was spending four hours waiting by the Mara River for a migration crossing that never happened. We were even interrupted during lunch because we were told the animals were “about to cross,” but they never did. When I suggested we continue the game drive instead of waiting any longer, I was asked, “Do you want to go home?” I didn’t want to go back—I wanted to continue exploring the park. The response I then received was, “We’ve already seen all the animals.” That completely misses the point of a safari. It’s not a box-ticking exercise where seeing each animal once means the experience is complete. To make matters worse, one of the passengers spent a significant part of the day on Zoom and WhatsApp Business calls. Instead of enjoying the sounds of nature, we were forced to listen to business conversations throughout the drive. The guides made no attempt to address the situation. A safari should be educational, engaging and immersive. Unfortunately, this experience felt like being driven around the park with almost no guiding or effort to include the English-speaking guests. Sadly, what should have been one of the highlights of our trip turned into one of our biggest disappointments. ⸻ This version focuses on the facts, explains why the experience was poor, and avoids sounding overly emotional, which tends to make reviews more credible and persuasive.

Apart from the pick up from my hotel (where I was waiting an hour for) the and drop off (where there was a bit of a faff), this was a really great trip. If it wasn’t for the pick up, this would be 5/5. As a solo traveller I was a bit nervous about booking but I needn’t have worried as the group I was with was really friendly and chatty and we all got along great. Samuel our driver was really helpful and knowledgeable. He also made sure we got to see everything we wanted to so even when it was time to leave, he was happy to slow down and stop to make sure we got the pictures we wanted. You can pick the type of camp you want to stay in so I choose a mid range option, which was great. The bed in the tent was comfortable, there was a hot shower and a toilet. I didn’t do the optional Masai village but the others in my group who did said it was well worth it. I would definitely recommend this trip

What an incredible 3 days in the Masai Mara! Kenya Safari Bookings made every detail seamless — from the daily departures to the Masai village visit, everything was perfectly organized. We were blown away by the wildlife sightings; the Big Five were all checked off within the first two days! The guides were knowledgeable, passionate, and incredibly attentive. The best safari experience I ever had. They had nice supportuve guides who gave us such an experience!

Unforgettable family stay with 2 children 3 and 5 years old. Everything went very well. Accommodation and meals were included as advertised. We did not go on safari the day of departure but returned directly to Nairobi. Arrival a little before 3pm then return by driver to the airport. Thanks to our guide whose name I forgot... He was great with the group and with the kids and was able to meet everyone's needs.

Life changing experience! Our guide, Jeff was absolutely fantastic, helping us spot all the big (5) and tons of smaller and breathtaking ones (giraffes!). The overall experience was seamless - accommodations were very nice with pleasant staff and tucked right outside the park. Joy also went above and beyond to help make our experience even better on the backend. Endless thanks to you all!

The tour was well organized and our tour guide was a very nice and sharp person. He put a lot of effort to show us the animals as much as possible.
