Cykeläventyr i Marrakech

Beskrivning

Pikala bike tours is a very nice way to see Marrakech and good variety with the busy souks. Stops at an old bakery that bakes bread for the neighborhood and has a social function at the same time, visited cellar under original hammam where an old man stirs up the temperature with wood chips but also cooks meat in the ashes for his neighborhood, and a mosaic workshop. Our bike guide Abdul (or was it Abdel?..) talked very enthusiastically about the crafts we passed and also a lot about the culture in Morocco. Enthusiastic and humorous. Pikala bike tours has a social function for young people and students. We thought that was a good thing.
What a wonderful experience with @Pikala Marrakech 🌿✨ An extra big thank you to Inez who accompanied us during the tour. In English and in darija! Young, enthusiastic, caring and with so much passion for Marrakech. Thanks to her, we discovered hidden gems and authentic places that we would otherwise never have found. And our roots are here! She immediately created a warm, relaxed atmosphere and felt perfectly what we liked. Definitely recommended to ask behind Inez as a guide! 💛 Also compliments to the founders of Pikala for this beautiful, social project that brings tourism, connection and local impact together so beautifully. Really inspiring to see how you give young people opportunities and at the same time let visitors experience the real Marrakech.
Ahmed was an amazing tour guide, immersing us in the local culture by riding through neighborhoods and visiting the local mosque, baker, tile cutter, bath house, and king's palace. He was clearly proud of his culture and was a pleasure to ride with.
The bike ride is scenic and interesting (visiting a neighborhood bread oven, a pottery factory, etc.). I thought we would make more stops in front of the iconic monuments of Marrakech. In any case, one should not be afraid to ride a bike in the traffic conditions of Marrakech (bikes, cars, scooters going in all directions).
Many thanks to Jaouad for this visit rich in culture, you are a passionate guide who knows how to pass on his story, the values of your life and who is very attentive.
Guide Marouane took us safely through the city, with some nice visits to a bakery, a hammam and a mosaic workshop. The bikes were basic but safe. Very nice morning.
An interesting cycling tour through some less touristic spots of Marrakech, explained by our knowledgeable tour guide. Cycling through the highly populated Souks is a challenge of its own, though. Unfortunately the organisation was average at best: - the slot was overbooked, hence not enough bikes were available initially; - conditions of bikes (technical and cleanliness) quite used up and needed some last minute fixing; - as a result, started with almost 1hr delay.
Top tour of Hamid! In perfect English an interesting trip through the old and new city. Lots of facts and facts, super fun trip and a good view of Marrakech
