This nightly experience was awesome! A unique immersion into Brazilian culture through a combination of dance(samba), martial arts(capoeira), & sound(drumming). It is sure to stimulate your senses and leave you with a warm feeling you won’t be soon to forget! Highly recommend! As part of our week-long vacation in Salvador, my wife and I were elated to have come across the Associação de Capoeira Mestre Bimba school, located in the historic Pelourinho district. We were lucky enough to be in town to take advantage of this advertised cultural event. We arrived at the school a few minutes before the start of the event as requested. We were invited in and ushered to our seats. Once seated the activities started promptly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The different performances were engaging, providing a glimpse into the various cultural aspects of capoeira, drumming, and samba. The event made clear the interconnected nature of these different aspects, demonstrating how each is woven into the next. Towards the end of the event, we were all invited to join in on the experience, including singing and dancing. The night ended with some light refreshments and a lot of laughs. I can't really imagine a better way my wife and I could have wrapped up our vacation. If you're looking for a comprehensive and immersive experience in Brazilian culture, I strongly recommend adding this to your list.

If you are in Salvador, this cultural performance is a really wonderful addition to your trip! We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the music, the dance and the passion of the people. Everything was authentic and full of energy. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting the city!
