Coyoacan Food Tour

Wonderful food tour of Coyoacan, guided by Telma. I've been on a dozen food tours in different cities, and this ties for the best. Food was delicious, interesting, and plentiful, and our guide Telma was friendly, helpful, and charming. Overall great tour!

We had the absolute best time on the Coyoacán Food Tour! Our host, Jimena, was fantastic—she expertly navigated us through the bustling market and every single food stop. Honestly, there wasn’t a bad bite to be had. It was the perfect blend of local history, culture, and the unique flavors that make Coyoacán’s cuisine so special. Highly recommend!

Our guide, Thelma, was not only knowledgeable about the local foods but she provided a lot of history about the culture of Coyoacan. The places Thelma took us to were unique and each place was excellent! Highly recommend this tour. You will not be disappointed. Time well spent!

We had such a blast with our guide Thelma! She brought us to places we would never have gone to on our own. Can’t even count how many different foods we had over the course of the tour, which were all so varied and delicious. We loved Thelma’s energy and hospitality- we had so much fun talking to her and asking her about life in the city. Perfect balance of culture and great food!

What an amazing day in Coyoacán with Jossie! Wish I could give 100 stars. This food tour was phenomenal and I have done many around the world. We ate in the Mercado, in small fondas, in restaurants, at food stands and more. We tried so many dishes from the humble freshly made tortilla to Oaxacan tlayudas, sopes, tacos, quesadillas and tostadas and there were drinks and sweets too!!!! Jossie gave us a lot of background and history and clearly loves her hometown, Coyoacán and was happy to share it with us. She was attentive, sweet and a lot of fun to spend the day with. The food was great and Jossie was a superstar guide.

This tour is fantastic and you should take it. Jossie was our guide and she was better than amazing. I’ve taken 20+ food tours around the world and I think I’ve only had 2 other guides who were as great as she was. Not only did Jossie take us to a great set of pre-set stops, she also went out of her way to show us extra things and tell us a lot about Coyoacán history and current culture. She is from the area and it shows. The design of the tour itself was also great. The foods we tried were super delicious and the tour really sets you up to have a great time - especially eating but not only that - in Coyoacán and Mexico City overall.
