We had an amazing time taking Elisa’s cooking class. She was kind, funny, and informative. The food was excellent and the company was the same. The wine pairing was delicious. I definitely recommend the class and would do it again if I ever had the chance.

Elisa was a wonderful hostess. The food and recipes we made were so delicious. Felt like we were sitting in the kitchen of a family members kitchen, learning to cook.

My wife and I had the pleasure of not only staying at Villa Maria, but also partaking in the cooking class put on by Elisa. It was very obvious Elisa has a passion for cooking and sharing the Greek cuisine with fellow travelers (Elisa is quite a traveler herself). We made 7 traditional Greek dishes and they all turned out delicious. It was a very fun and informative cooking class that I would recommend to anyone that wants a taste of classic Greek cuisine. This was one of the highlights of our 2 week Greece trip! Side note, definitely add on the cheese and wine tasting

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Elisa is a fantastic chef and wonderful teacher. Elisa designed our class based on local in-season ingredients and traditional Greek recipes. We were provided hands-on instruction in perfect English. We were so full after class, we didn't eat until the next morning! Elisa also sent us home with all of the written recipes! I would also recommend the Villa Maria for your accommodations while in Syros. It is a beautiful property with wonderful views!

Five friends had a lovely afternoon cooking with Elisa and Stella. The villa and surroundings were beautiful. As someone who doesn’t do much cooking, I was hesitant, but quickly discovered how doable and enjoyable it was to prepare the dishes we made together. Eliza is a great teacher. Ingredients were simple, seasonal and fresh, and the dishes were delicious! I’m looking forward to recreating them at home.

We spent 5 days with friends at Villa Maria on Syros. The evening in the kitchen where we prepared our dinner (typical dishes from the Cyclades Islands) with Eliza was the highlight of the week! What a gorgeous experience. The menu was interesting and robust - we left stuffed to the brim with delightful flavors. The kitchen and table setting was lovely and I’d give it more stars if I could.

We had a great time with Elisa. She showed us how to make some authentic Greek cuisine, and added the cheese and wine on for good measure. Delicious!

We had a lovely time in Elisa's beautiful kitchen with only one other couple joining us. We prepared a delicious vegetarian menu and learned a lot of interesting things about the greek cuisine that really surprised us. Enjoying the food together on the terrace afterwards was a great pleasure, also with the wine pairing - we had a great time and can only recommend this experience for people, who want to learn about "real" Greek food.

We LOVED this cooking class. It was the best food we had the whole trip and it was so fun to make and have dinner with others visiting the island. We learned so much about Greek food. This was a trip with my Dad and he had never done a cooking class before. Neither of us are big chefs and we both thoroughly enjoyed the whole process. Villa Maria is a charming location that truly demonstrates the essence of Syros.
