För bara några år sedan var stadsdelen Comuna 13 det farligaste samhället i staden Medellín, men idag är det det mest färgstarka och levande samhället i staden. Efter att regeringen och den privata sektorn investerat i sociala program och ungdomsprogram, tog lokala invånare och konstnärer tillbaka stadsdelarna och bidrog till den mirakulösa förvandling vi ser idag, var gatorna fyllda med otroliga verk av gatukonst, musik, gatukonstnärer och läckra lokala snacks. En fantastisk möjlighet att utforska de livliga gatorna i Comuna 13 samtidigt som du möter lokala invånare och konstnärer, en unik kulturell och minnesvärd upplevelse. Lär känna relationen mellan de kriminella grupperna, det våldsamma förflutna med den nya generationen, övervinnandet av ett inbördeskrig och ett nytt hopp för samhället.

Vi kommer att få möjlighet att utforska kommun 13 på djupet, besöka all graffiti som gjorts av lokala konstnärer och entreprenörer som i detta har hittat sitt sätt att övervinna sitt våldsamma förflutna. Vi kommer att få möjlighet att förstå innebörden av väggmålningarna och det sociala sammanhanget i Medellín före och efter omvandlingen av comuna 13. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Medellín and want to immerse yourself in a cultural experience. The art, music and vibrance were major peak points during our tour. Our guide Johan provided us with detailed information regarding the history and culture of Comuna 13. Great experience!

Great experience of commune 13, being a private group we could go at our own pace and enjoy how much morality we wanted. Daniel the guide was spectacular, highly informed of the situation of commune 13 and its sad history of the past. We also received local snacks and felt very safe going with a local.
Esteban was a great tour guide. He offered alot of historical information about the indigenous people of the area, the afro Colombian relevance and the tragic past experienced by the residents of the community! Its so bright and beautiful, but every image “paints a story”. Love it!
