Först ses vi i stadsdelen 20 de Julio, sedan bestiger vi berget Independencia 1, vilket är det område med mest graffiti i hela Medellín, och vi kommer att förklara historien bakom många av dessa graffiti. Sedan går vi in i min mormors hus för att prova en speciell och typisk mangoglass med salt och citron som ingår i rundturen, och inne i min mormors hus kommer jag att förklara allt om Comuna 13:s smärtsamma förflutna, våra personliga berättelser, precis som berättelserna från lokalbefolkningen i denna Comuna. Sedan tar vi rulltrapporna som leder till toppen av berget och jag visar er en fantastisk utsiktsplats för att se hela Medellín. Sedan går vi till Independencia 2 för att lära oss mer om den andra delen av berättelsen. Vi kommer att berätta om den största urbana massgraven i ett område i världen, samt om nutiden och förvandlingen av Comuna 13.
Vi kommer att prata om kommunens elektriska trappor 13, förändringen och omvandlingen av denna kommun genom denna innovativa konstruktion. Vi kommer att prata om varför de byggde dessa rulltrappor, och varför i nu nytta en kommun med mer än 150 000 invånare .

Beautiful art covering every wall, beautiful people filled with pride, and a neighborhood whose resilience you can genuinely feel with every step. This is not just a tour - it’s an experience that stays with you. Our guide, Kevin, did an exceptional job bringing the history of the community to life - the transformation story of this place is extraordinary, and having someone walk you through it with passion and knowledge makes all the difference. The street food was delicious (don’t skip it!), and the views from the top were absolutely incredible. If you are visiting Medellín, this is not optional. 100% recommend. Book it and ask for Kevin. One of the best experiences of the trip. It will completely reshape how you see and appreciate this city.

Duvan was a delight. The tour was just the right combination of history, walking, food and epic views. The comuna is sensory overload, so would recommend booking a tour and saving time to amble around afterwards. Our 9 year old was fine with the steep inclines and we carried the smaller one. Both relished trying this hand at graffiti!
