Följ med oss på en härlig två timmars vandringstur genom de charmiga gatorna i Como, en juvel inbäddad mellan foten av Alperna och Comosjöns skimrande vatten. Denna tur är perfekt för förstagångsbesökare eller alla som vill uppleva höjdpunkterna i denna historiska och pittoreska Italienska stad. Vi börjar vår resa på den ikoniska Piazza Cavour, stadens livliga hjärta som vetter mot sjön, med fantastisk utsikt över de omgivande kullarna och strandpromenaden. Därifrån promenerar vi genom Comos eleganta historiska centrum, där kullerstensgator leder oss förbi medeltida torn, renässanspalats och livliga torg. På 1800-talet fanns inte torget tillägnad Camillo Benso-greven av Cavour, i stället fanns det en hamn som nu begravdes. Till en början kännetecknades torget av butiker och arkader, de byggnader vi kan se idag byggdes under åren. På mycket kort tid blev Piazza Cavour en veritabel "stadslounge". I slutet av 1800 byggdes en fontän i mitten av torget och senare installerades den i Bronx Park i New York. I början av 1900-talet placerades tre blomsterrabatter (fortfarande närvarande) på sidorna av torget. Spårvagnspår byggdes och ersattes senare av en väg. Runt 50-talet användes det som en parkeringsplats. I slutet av nittiotalet utgjorde tio vattenstrålar installerade i den norra blomsterbotten det sista arkitektoniska bidraget till platsen. Torget kan översvämmas på grund av dess konstruktion vid sjön.
Teatro Sociale, teater i Como, designad av arkitekten Giuseppe Cusi, byggdes 1811 med den befintliga strukturen i ett forntida slott (vi kan se de ursprungliga väggarna även idag). Den första showen ägde rum 1813 och numera kan du njuta av teaterföreställningar men det är också ett bra ställe att organisera ceremonier, bröllop, affärsevenemang.
Katedralen, som ligger nära Lago di Como, är en av de viktigaste byggnaderna i regionen. Det har byggts under olika historiska perioder och så kan vi hitta gotisk, renässans och barock stil. Inuti katedralen kan vi hitta Bishops Avvocatis och Bonifacio da Modenas sarkofag.
Basilica of San Fedele i Como ligger i stadens centrum och är tillägnad Saint Fidelis martyr. Det härrör från en tidigare kristen kyrka, från det sjunde århundradet, tillägnad Eufemia.
Porta Torre (även känd som Torre di Porta Vittoria är ett huvudsakligt befäst torn som ligger i staden Como, Lombardiet i norra Italien). Det är 40 meter högt och byggdes år 1192 för att försvara huvudingången till staden.

Disgusting the tour guide operator didn’t turn up! Ruined our whole Como experience! Still waiting for a company representative to contact me! The number they provide is not in service!!!!!!
We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience. However, we must clarify that our guide was at the meeting point at the scheduled time. We personally attempted to contact you several times using the phone number provided in the booking, and our guide did the same. Unfortunately, none of the calls were answered, and we never received a callback. We can provide screenshots of the outgoing calls as evidence. We always do our best to reach guests who are not present at the meeting point, and in this case multiple attempts were made to contact you without success. For this reason, we respectfully disagree with the statement that nobody showed up or tried to contact you.
This was a fun walking tour! Our guide knew so much about Como - there is so much more history here than we originally thought! Definitely worth the time and money for the tour, we learned so much and our guide had great recommendations for restaurants as well.
