Coming to Zagreb as someone who doesnt know much about the region, this tour really helped me understand the turmoils of the past and made me appreciate the peace that currently exists. Our guide Ivana was spectacular, braving the heat with us yet delivering with full enthusiasm. Well done to her and the team for putting together this tour!
Excellent tour, and one I will definitely be recommending to others. Our guide was fantastic, engaging and extremely knowledgeable throughout. She clearly had a real passion for the subject, and I learned a huge amount. There was close attention to historical detail, with a thoughtful and objective approach to sensitive and complex issues. Informative, balanced and very well delivered.
Excellent tour with a lot of context and information that helps you understand the complexities of this área. Doris was a wonderful guide, really nice and helpful. Please, keep with these necessary tours so that people don't forget and It won't happen again.
Diana was an amazing guide. Friendly, welcoming, inclusive, and professional. Also had a good sense of humour. So knowledgeable on these subjects. A privilege to listen to Croatia’s very somber but liberating independence. Highly recommend!!
The war in the former Yugoslavia interested me a lot at the time. On the tour they explain to you in great detail its origin from the 19th century, without which it cannot be well understood. I also really appreciated that the explanations avoided extreme nationalism. I would have appreciated a little more detail, especially on the impact of the Bosnian War in the country. But in any case, it is a visit that I recommend to anyone interested in the recent history of Europe.
A really informative tour that was engaging and very interesting. We saw many sights and in our small group I felt I was able to learn so much about the history of Croatia.
Darko and Diana breathe Zagreb and its history! They take you into their story and it won't let you go...
Darko is an amazing guide, would highly recommend taking 2.5 hours out of your day for the history lesson.
Thank you Darko and Diana for this super interesting tour
Interesting tour! Besides the war in the 1990s and the dictatorship in the decades before, you also get more information about the formation of Yugoslavia and its many mutations. Guide D. did his best to tell the story as neutrally as possible, despite all possible sentiments. If the tour had lasted another 3 hours, he would have completed those 3 hours as well, a knowledgeable and nice guide.
