Colosseum är en elliptisk amfiteater i centrala Rom, Italien, strax öster om Forum Romanum. Det är den största antika amfiteatern som någonsin byggts, och är fortfarande den största stående amfiteatern i världen, trots sin ålder.

We did the Colosseum tour with our kids and parents, and it was easily the best part of our trip. The guide told gladiator stories in such a fun way that even the kids were glued in the whole time. Walking through the ancient tunnels and standing on the arena floor felt unreal. It’s a lot of walking and stairs, so wear good shoes and bring water. Book early to skip the lines. 100% worth it for families - history that actually feels alive.
Unforgettable visit to the Colosseum. Magical, historic, and stunning. The ticket seller deserves special praise — professional, welcoming, and so efficient. Thanks to him our tour started perfectly. Must visit in Rome!
There was supposed to be an audio guide included. I could not find it, and when I wrote asking for support no answer was provided. They just sell you the tickets and an overpicres proce

Difficult to follow the directions because the city itself is constantly bombarded by tourists and locals trying to stop you to sell you things. So while you’re trying to figure out what to do and where to go, someone’s in your face asking if you want water or bracelets or whatever it may be, trying to sweet talk you when you say no and try and continue on your way. It’s all just overwhelming. I would say go with the tours directly provided by the coliseum because that seems direct and straight forward.

Tourist trap where you have to pay more than double what an official ticket is worth on the official Colosseum website for not having been able to buy it in advance. What a business the tour operators have set up. Thanks for nothing. If I go back again I will buy an official one.

Was a great experience. Came on a Weds in July and was glad we got the tix first thing in the AM. Went on a self guided tour and it was beautiful. A good portion of the tour is outdoors so bring a napkin and fan. It’s very hot in July. The grounds are well maintained and the colosseum is magnificent. So much history. Viator made it easy to book and correspondence in advance was helpful. They sent me an app to download to use for the audio (which we didn’t use) - we just arrived and explored.
Bring water and don’t bring white shoes. Palatine hill and the forum can scuff up your shoes. Great spots either way.
