Very good guide, but remember your photographic ID they check it at entry to the colosseum even thou you’ve booked with tripadvisor as a group? The colosseum is an outstanding place to visit, but if you struggle with steps you can use a lift to the upper floor, but at the finish time it wasn’t available to me, possibly as our tour was exiting at closing time 7pm away from the area where the lifts are, but if I hadn’t have managed to come down the steps albeit very slowly, I think I’d have been staying the night there?
Our tour guide really made this experience one of the top highlights of our trip! We were traveling with two children aged 9 & 10 and two seniors and she made sure everyone was comfortable and engaged. An hour for our group was the perfect amount of time and it was slightly cooler and less crowded right before closing. Highly recommend!!
Brutal experience and tour. Book somewhere else.
Wow...we are intrigued...what was so brutal about it?!..I might not sleep tonight trying to think of all the ways one tour can be brutal
I do not think it was clear on the app / instructions that the name on the colosseum ticket needs to match your name on your government ID. Simple nicknames like “Mike” from “Michael” were an issue. In addition, teenagers needed ID which was also not clear. Several people in our tour group had issues with entry.
We enjoyed seeing the different levels of the Colosseum however our guide’s monotone descriptions meant it was easy to miss important details.

Our guide, Marco was FANTASTIC! He was informative, entertaining & interesting. I also liked the shorter time since it was so hot that day. After our time with him, we roamed around on our own.

Take this tour!! You learn so much about Rome’s history from the guide, and the Colosseum at sunset provides some really dramatic photos, while having far less tourists to battle for a good shot.
Loved the twilight tour. Cooler and less crowded. There are steep steps. Wear comfortable shoes. Enjoy
