Colca Canyon hotell

We had Brian as our guide from Arequipa to Colca Canyon to see the condors, and he was fantastic. He was really knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but also funny and kind. He clearly loves what he does, and he made the whole day really enjoyable. Seeing the condors was amazing! We then had Antonio as our guide from Colca Canyon to Puno, and he was just as good. He too was friendly and helpful and kind and made the journey really enjoyable. Both were genuinely lovely guides and really added to our trip. Thank you 😊

This tour was the best part of my trip in Peru. Everything was perfect, the food(even better than some restaurants that I tried in the city) the hotel was so cute and food there was very good too. And our guide was very friendly and patient to explain everything. I am so glad that I chose this tour with Giardino.

Probably a great experience for 60+ers new to Peru, however, don’t recommend if you’re looking for an authentic experience of Peruvian nature and culture. Spent extremely little time at the Canyon and Condors itself, most time went to typical tourist traps. Paid 100 dollars + yet still had to pay for everything during the tour (eg canyon admission, hot springs, lunches/dinners, proposed colca sour cocktail,…). For this money we also expected a bit more from our guide, whom was asleep in the van most of the trip (yet informative and fun when sharing info). Overall, quite a disappointing experience for this type of money. Size of the group was good.

Excellent booking with Maca via WhatsApp Complicated and very long pickup in Arequipa, then in the evening in the canyon. Everyone should sleep in the same place so as not to waste so much time. The stops in the canyon are very beautiful, but our guide didn't explain much, and in very broken English. The Casa de Mamayachi hotel was excellent.

I had booked 3 days in Colca + 1 day in Arequipa and also booked the flights to Arequipa through the agency. From the first contact with the agency employee Karla M. to the execution of the tour, all inquiries and change requests were answered and implemented quickly. My program was a mix of individual and group travel. The group consisted of 11 people from different countries. Nice hotel in Arequipa and in the Colca Canyon. (Both very well located) The tour guide Olivia planned the day trips optimally and also paid close attention to the topic of altitude sickness and gave us tips on it. (The bus tour leads over a 4900 meter high pass) The hotels are located at approx. 3600 meters. One affected person was cared for immediately. The landscapes are beautiful and in the villages in the Colca Valley, you can also get to know normal country life despite several tourist businesses. In my program, there was also a morning with a farmer, that was very interesting.. (however, knowledge of Spanish is required for this) You can also undertake small hikes on your own; there are various marked paths. The meals (not included) were offered as a buffet, so that you could try unknown dishes without having to order a whole portion right away. I found the tour very successful and would certainly like to book further modules with this agency for my next trip to Peru.

As three twenty-somethings with a busy travel schedule, this two-day tour was the only way for us to discover the Colca Canyon. What at first glance seems like too little time for a place of this size, our guide Manuel and driver Elias have ensured that we had a wonderful time. Regarding accommodations and travel (in a luxury minibus), everything was perfectly arranged and went smoothly. Besides, Manuel has a lot of knowledge of the area in addition to a nice personality. In just under 30 hours, we have been able to experience high passes, desert areas, local villages, swimming in hot springs, spotting condors, and everything the local cuisine has to offer with his explanation. The guidance to high altitude of 4910m was also good with sufficient stops and the right mindset. Overall a wonderful trip that we can recommend to everyone. Greetings, Joep, Thomas and Ruben

I booked directly with Giardino. Questions and special requests such as alternative hotels or a one-way tour with a bus connection to Cusco were responded to quickly and in detail. The Colca tour itself requires long travel times in a fairly comfortable van. The driver was good and our guide Olivia shared a lot of knowledge bilingually and was happy to help with check-in and questions. The included meals were good and my chosen hotel, Casa Andina, had the desired standard. I would book with Giardino again!

Tiring walk but very much worth it, very beautiful stops before and after.

We had a wonderful experience with Giardino tours on a Colca Canton 2d1n tour. Our guide Olivia was fabulous - very informative and funny and super organised. The colca canyon is incredibly beautiful - would highly recommend this tour.

Joana, our guide, and Elías, our driver, formed a great team. The tour was punctual, they were attentive to the passengers at all times and we learned a lot. Everything was easy with them. I highly recommend it.
