Unfortunately, the advertised itinerary was not the same as the one that was carried out. We had to visit some places on foot, whereas the brochure said the little train would pass by.
Dear Purtroppo , we currently have a construction site on the Danube and therefore had to change our route. That is the reason. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it.

I wish there had been more about the city in the audio tour. Unfortunately, they didn't truly follow the map, so we didn't get to see everything that was listed on the map.
Thank you for your feedback. There is currently a major construction site in the Danube area of Regensburg, as we also announce on our website. As soon as the roadblocks are removed, the train will be able to follow its designated route on the map. We usually like the "little trains" and have taken the tours in several cities in Europe and Asia. This was the worst. The printed map/itinerary was not where the driver took us. Not even close. The audio lined up with our amended route, but her English, although recorded, was quite poor, and made no mention of our new plan. And, the most amazing part: we went by the train station twice but nowhere near the Danube River or the famous Stone Bridge that gives the city its charm. After the tour, we asked why and were told it had been re-routed!!! Duh. I said we should have been told. The three of us felt they had stolen our 30 euros.

Unfortunately, due to ongoing construction work, it is currently not possible for our train to operate along the Danube River and pass the Stone Bridge. This temporary route change is clearly communicated on our website and is also displayed at our ticket counter before tickets are purchased. The train tour is a nice way to get an overview of Regensburg, especially if it’s your first visit. It provides a good introduction to the city’s main landmarks and history. Be aware that the train does not have air conditioning, so it can get quite hot on warm days. The recap of the facts at the end of the tour felt unnecessary, as most of the information had already been covered during the ride. Overall, though, it was an enjoyable and informative tour.

More attention should be paid to sights that tourists and visitors can also visit

Diese versuchen wir möglichst umfangreich, fesselnd und stimmig mit wissenswerten Fakten und Anekdoten zur Geschichte, Architektur und Kultur der Domstadt auszufüllen. Sollte da die eine oder andere Frage auf der Strecke bleiben, besteht nach der Fahrt immer die Möglichkeit, sich bei der nahe gelegenen Tourist Information noch ausführlicher beraten zu lassen. Anyone with back problems should be careful, as the seats are hard, the seating position is very upright due to the tightness in the car, and the ride mostly goes over cobblestones.

Wer die Möglichkeit hat, unter der Woche oder außerhalb der Ferienzeit eine Rundfahrt zu machen, wird sich sicherlich über etwas mehr Platzangebot freuen können. Das Kopfsteinpflaster wird allerdings stetiger Begleiter eines jeden Reisenden bleiben, der das Flair dieser mittelalterlichen Domstadt vollends erleben möchte.
