CHIPPIES BAHAMAS Island Tours: Feel The Culture

The tour takes you around to most of Nassau's major historical sites. The tram transportation added a bit of fun. This quality of this tour is greatly increased by the personality and enthusiasm of the guide. Our guide was informative but lacked that personality that would have made the trip much better. If you want to get out and see Some of Nassau's history and beauty, this is the trip for you.

I want to share that our experience with Chippies was phenomenal!!! We had Julian as our tour master, and he was fabulous and very personable! We were truly pleased with his historical knowledge of island and local history insights which I found very interesting and wasn't aware of. I enjoyed our time at Taste Treats (conch fritters, the best on the island) and the Ice Cream Shop next door to it, was so delicious with their natural island flavors (guava cheesecake on a waffle cone - yummy) were truly enjoyable for my grandbabies and teenage son. I found some tiny shells with my two grandbabies (5 yrs old and 2 yrs old) at the beach inlet at Ft. Montague - I have my tiny seashell on my desk, as I collect shells from all my travels. We truly enjoyed the unplanned situation of two local young men riding up next to us while driving down the road and offering us mangos - let me tell you, I was in the back and got up and received two sweet mangos and they made it back home to Florida with me in my carry on luggage - yes they did, the most sweetest and juiciest mango from the Bahamas!!! I love traveling to places, and experiencing true island life and vibe just sharing with locals just like that - when locals come up to you and share their local gifts with you! Beautiful memories made just by riding along with Julian with Chippies! We shall be back for sure to do more Chippies around Nassau and recommending Chippies, and hoping they get Julian!!

Great experience with our Tour Guide! She was amazing and super popular in the area. She had much energy and put everyone at ease. She didn't hassle for a tip Although she deserved it. Perfect for large Families like mine. Safe. Affordable. Great experience.

Chippies was a phenomenal experience… Walking in, we could feel the love and warm from all the workers, and the owner. Mr. Chipman was especially nice and courteous and his place has great drinks, great food, great music, great atmosphere, all right on the beach, Clear water white, sandy ocean, great place… If you’re visiting Nassau, check out Chippies it’s the place to go..

We missed our excursion due to my mistake with time difference. They called to check on us and refunded our money which we never ask for a refund or expected one. I would definitely book with them if we come back to Nassau.

This tour was a great introduction to Nassau. Allison, our driver, was sweet and knowledgeable. Out the gate, we visited the store where they sell rum cakes. I love these cakes! I enjoyed learning about some of the history, current affairs, and locals. Some of the places I hoped to visit while here were completed on this tour like the Queen's Staircase, Straw Market, etc. It just freed up time to explore elsewhere.

I had a great experience with chippies tour! The tour guide was such a sweetheart!! She was very informative and she made the whole experience fun. I felt very safe in her care!! I would definitely recommend to book this experience with her!!

The overall tour was fun and interactive. The driver was really nice and explained a lot. I think some of the itinerary should be revised because we got there 30 mins early like specified and had no idea where to go and then the little shuttle came closer to start time instead. We also thought there would be more food tastings and stop at the fish fry but we just drove straight past it. Also spent 40 mins at Atlantis casino and shops which seems like a waste of time. Since you have to walk over there and that took about 5-10 mins to get there instead of being dropped off.
