Wat Chedi Luang Varavihara Wat Chedi Luang, detta tempel är platsen för en enorm pagod, ursprungligen 280 fot hög, och som förstördes delvis av en jordbävning 1545. På en tid inrymde Wat Chedi Luang den vördade Emerlad Buddha-bilden nu förankrad i Bangkoks Wat Phra Kaew. En av Wat Chedi Luangs mest slående arkitektoniska drag är en magnifik Naga-trappa som pryder kapellens front.
Wat Doi Suthep Det är ett enormt tempelkomplex med en visuell glädje varje gång du vänder dig. Det är populärt med turnébussarna, men vänta tills turnén fortsätter och njuter. Ge dig själv massor av tid så blir du inte besviken.
Wat Pha Lat Detta tempel är den forntida föregångaren (nere på berget) än Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Även om det är lite mindre grand än det är yngre syskon, är det brant med historia, vördnad och fred. Den har en vacker utsikt över staden Chang Mai och är byggd på en bäck med ett antal vattenfall. En fantastisk plats för meditation eller enkel reflektion. Gå!!
Tha Phae Gate Romantisk, vacker, förtrollande - dessa är de tre ord som jag skulle kunna sammanfatta uppleva en av Chiang Mais historiska portar - Tha Phae porten. När staden grundades av kung Mangrai 1296 skyddar dessa portar tillsammans med andra portar (Chang Puak, Chiang Mai, Pratu Soan Dok) den gamla staden. Tha Phae porten ligger på östra delen av staden och gjord av röda tegelstenar sten

Good paced city tour visiting 4 temples. Som was a great guide showing all best sites and avoiding tourist hot spots. Tour is about 4 hours which is perfect, avoiding temple overload in a single day! Back for lunchtime.

Our guide (Som) is amazing. Very informative. Very caring. Very patient. She showed Grace when we were unsure what to do and she helped guide us when we wanted to participate in prayers, offerings, etc.. We were allowed to ask lots of questions and she answered them all. We told her we were most excited about visiting the temples in the mountain, so she changed the itinerary so we could start there and then end our tour closer to our hotel. All along the way she gave us history about the city. She gave us history about the Buddhas. She gave us history about the Royal Family. She gave us history about Thailand. Awesome tour, awesome time, again could not have been happier with everything. We highly recommend this tour for anybody who has time to get a little more history and culture of Chiang Mai.

Great way to see the 3 temples if you are time poor and want to do it in comfort
This was a really great tour that I would absolutely recommend. My guide, Som, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, kind, and peaceful, somehow seeming to embody the soft spirit of the temples we visited. I learned a lot about Buddhism and Chiang Mai’s history while seeing some of its incredible architecture. The three temples we visited are all very different and impressive in their own way. Logistically, the tour was very smooth and operated with precision and great hospitality, as seems to be the norm in this great country.
It was a perfect itinerary for half day. Temples up the mountain were impressive. Our guide Ulala was wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Transportation was great. Very comfortable and clean car.

We went on the Chiang Mai best city tour on our first full day in Thailand. Oulala was so well educated on the history of the country and explained interesting information about the culture. Was an amazing guide and spoke fluent English. We learned so much in our private tour. Loved the locations we stopped at. Would highly recommend.
This tour with our tour guide, Som, was one of the best we have done in Thailand. The communication pre pick up was excellent, it started and ended as scheduled, and the tour and information we received was outstanding! The guide and driver were top-notch. This is a must do in Chiang Mai!
