Chefchaouens Grande Mosque byggdes på 1500-talet och byggdes på order av Moulay Mohamed Ben Ali Ben Rachid, son till stadens grundare. Den har en åttkantig minaret, vilket är något ovanligt jämfört med de många fyrkantiga minareterna som generellt tornar över landets myriade moskéer. I would recommend this nice quick tour for anyone who wants to learn a little history about Chefchaouen and see important landmarks. Ibrahim was our guide and he messaged me the night before to confirm time and meeting point. He was on time and very enthusiastic to show us around. Good two hour tour that provided very interesting background. He also will point out photo spots and takes great photos!
Foaud was an excellent guide! He led us to all the best spots of Chefchaouen. It truly was the most efficient and best way to see the remarkably beautiful blue city.
Hicham was excellent! He meet us at the entrance of our riad was very knowledgeable and took his time explaining different things to us throughout the city, as well as offered to take photos in some of the most picturesque spots thought Chefchaouen. And he had a great sense of humor. We would highly recommend him!

We rented a car from Tangier and drove to Chefchaouen in the morning and did a three-hour walking tour with guide Abdenour. This ended up being the highlight of our entire trip to Morocco! He told us where to park took us to all the hidden spots for photos that we could never have found on our own. In addition to being a great guide who shared the history of the town, he happens to be a fantastic photographer, too. He took us to get the best shawarma in town for lunch. If you want a friendly, fun local to show you around who knows all the Instagram spots, this is the way to go!
