Did the Cham Island Village Visit and 1 snorkel spot tour a few days ago at a cost of $42aud. The itinerary spoke of a "Culture and History Discover" which included a visit to a Pagoda, The Ancient Well, and the Seafood Markets. We visited none of these sites and instead were given 15 minutes to have a look around the first island then taken to the 2nd island to be transported to an overcrowded snorkelling spot for an hour followed by a plentiful lunch where all of the hot dishes had gone completely cold sitting outside for goodness knows how long. Then there was nothing to do but sit on the beach for over an hour awaiting our return speedboat. Complete rip off.
Overall, it was not bad. The organization is quite terrible, everything is messy and not clear. I would recommend to skip the village tour as there was nothing to do. Snorkeling was good, but that’s all. Staff was not really friendly and was not speaking English (only a few words like «Hi»). I would recommend to go by yourself and not taking the tour.
We booked this trip as it allowed snorkelling in two different locations. This was good because there were different things to see in each. Snorkelling was great and the lunch provided was delicious and very substantial. Would definitely recommend.
Reason for not 5 star was return transfer was slow and seemed disorganised. Otherwise the whole trip was fantastic
The guide and others were helpful, and had a positive attitude. However the tour was not value for money for me. In the snorkeling point, we could not find any marine life underwater. Not sure of the reason. Maybe the crowd was too much. And maybe this was just for that day. The equipments were okay, not high quality though. The Chàm Island tour was also okayish. We walk around the island to visit a small temple in the middle mostly.
Nice beautiful island and for the price it was ok, however the tour could have been better in two ways 1) no need for the village tour - it was ridiculous. 2) the lunch could have been far better. None of the items were tasty. Almost nothing was worth eating. Very basic cooking and the restaurant place also was very run down. The people were nice and helpful. Guide was good and cared.
