Det rätta sättet att besöka Cascais och Estoril, en heldagstur! En tidig kustdestination för den portugisiska eliten som uppstod från en fiskeby, precis så fram till slutet av 1800-talet. Från 1930-talet och framåt hände det oväntade när internationella kungligheter och exiler dramatiskt förändrade Cascais och förvandlade den till Portugals riviera. Det är tid och plats för människor som flyr förföljelser att vara i säkerhet, och detta neutrala territorium att vara värd för de största spionspelen under andra världskriget. De mörka åren och städerna som förstördes i Europa kändes helt annorlunda här, när majoriteten av kontinenten inte hade något erbjudande om trygghet eller gästfrihet. Idag är det en vacker internationell 30 km lång sträcka av Atlantkusten som lockar resenärer och investerare världen över, för fritids- och affärsintroduktioner till hela Portugal! Medan du gör detta, följ filmen "007 i Hennes Majestäts hemliga tjänst" från 1969, samtidigt som du besöker James Bonds födelseplats, det verkliga området som inspirerade Ian Fleming.

Wonderful Lisbon a pleasure to spend time seeing the sights and of course sampling the famous Portuguese Custard Tarts over coffee. Then on to Estoril the casino and hotel where Ian Flemings James Bond was invented. Finally to Cascais with its lovely beaches marina quaint Old Town with good selection of restaurants. It’s so important to have a good driver and guide like Nuno of Sophia Tours who takes time to explain the history and culture of these lovely places. I have no hesitation in recommending Sophia Tours for quality care and dedication to the travellers needs. Competitive prices assured for all their private and customised tours

The history architecture and beauty of Lisbon just took my breath away and it’s so essential to have a good guide with you which I did adding even further interest and knowledge of this great City. So enjoyed our stop at the Portuguese Custard Tart shop in Lisbon to sample these sweet delights with coffee. Next stop The Casino and Spies Hotel in Estoril not to be missed and the story attached to these landmarks of how James Bond was invented well narrated by the guide. Cascais our last stop is full of character breathtaking views.The journey along the coastline was a pleasure with Nuno my driver and guide a very sociable person extremely knowledgeable who is a careful driver in a modern vehicle. I had a fabulous day!
