Cartagena till Rosario Islands och Cholon Boat

We had an incredible experience with Dennis and Raphael! They provided a private luxury boat for our day trip to Cholón, and everything was top-tier from start to finish. The boat was beautiful, comfortable, and perfect for a full day on the water. Most importantly, we were extremely well taken care of. Dennis and Raphael were professional, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy the day. The whole experience felt seamless and first-class. If you’re considering a private tour and trip experiences, I highly recommend their company.

Amazing trip to the islands, beautiful beaches, lunch was excelent, boat impecable, and worth to mention: the Captain, the Tour Guide and Dennis who helped reserve yhe tour make the experience unforgettable.

We took a “4 island” tour at station #6. We travel a lot and knew that this type of entertainment would be disappointing but the Lonely Planet descriptions invited us to insist (150,000 pesos per person) Arriving at 8:30 as requested, we didn't leave until 9:30; around 35 people per speed boat (packed like sardines but exhilarated by the speed, it's ok). But the stops are distressing. Of course all the boats go to the same places at the same time! The first where we are extorted: there is nothing to do on the island; just choose between paying for the “aquarium” (a pool of fish) and an outing accompanied by snorkeling on a shallow seabed (50,000 pesos); we see quite a few fish but all swarming in the same place, it’s not the “natural” atmosphere we were hoping for. Second stop, Cholon, the highlight of the outing: a hundred tables with water flowers, food, drinks, music, tipsy people dancing in swimsuits showing off their generous shapes; all this in a culture broth, on top of each other. A Colombian remake of Sodom and Gomorra. And no escape. At least the grotesqueness of the situation made the teenagers laugh. Third stop. Oh well, it’s not a stopover because it’s a private beach and we’re a bit off track. It’s a “panoramica” stop: we only look. French, we insist because there is less concentration than elsewhere and we can finally swim. The water is not turquoise and again limited to a 200m land area. Fourth stop, Playa Branca. The stupid catcher. A huge and beautiful white sand beach. But a succession of low-end restaurants and cheap deckchair rentals. Lunch included in a seedy restaurant. To avoid

My trip to Cartagena and time spent at the islands was AMAZING! Jonathan made this the best trip I’ve ever had. His team was awesome and very knowledgeable. They are very organized, professional, and truly care about their groups enjoying their time in Cartagena. Everything was taken care of! All we had to do was just enjoy ourselves. Jonathan organized and scheduled our boat/yacht experience, our tour of the Walled City, so many great eating experiences, and our travel around the city.
