Den enda Carrara-marmorturen som låter dig komma in i en riktig grotta. Trevligt att träffas! Vi är förare och reseledare... vi skulle vilja visa dig en dold pärla i Toscana! Jag hämtar dig med min professionella skåpbil från området Lucca eller Pisa och jag tar dig upp på berget Carrara. Vi når grottan och vi hoppar i en 4x4-jeep som kan köra in oss. En professionell reseguide kommer att förklara dig allt om historien om denna legendariska plats: inte bara hur de fungerar och de extraherar marmorn, utan också hur de producerar ett speciellt vin eller hur man känner igen en riktig Carrara-marmor från en falsk. I slutet av turen kommer vi ut från grottan och jag kör dig upp i den lilla byn Colonnata: en mycket liten och autentisk plats känd för en mycket välsmakande sorts salami... "lardo di colonnata"! Jag kan ta dig till den bästa mataffären för att köpa en bit ister eller försöka boka en lokal restaurang för en provsmakning! En tur utanför allfarvägen :)

Du kommer att ha den unika möjligheten att besöka en riktig Carrara marmorgrotta. Detta är den enda turen som ger dig möjlighet att komma in i en grotta där de fortfarande utvinner ren marmor.
Vi kommer att besöka den lilla byn Colonnata: platsen där "lardo" (en mycket välsmakande sorts salami) görs. Panoramaterrassen kommer att få dig att njuta av en fantastisk utsikt över grottorna i Carrara Marble. Den återstående 1 timmen är också för restid 30 minuters körning utgående och 30 minuters körning på returen

This was such an interesting tour. It was well run. Besides the marble cave tour, we had a good lunch (paid for separately) of lardo. I recommend this tour.
This was a very unique experience that our group of 7 really enjoyed. We had an amazing tour guide -Raffaele- who provided us with so much information. Our visit to Colonnata was extra special. It’s a sweet little town that we are glad we didn’t miss. A great way to spend a day in the Lucca area. Highly recommended!
What a great day. We saw the countryside, toured inside the Carrara mine and had a fun lunch. Our guide was amazing and went out of his way for us at every turn. He even brought my husband his cane which he had left in the car. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in marble or just how the mining process works.
Our experience with Viator was excellent. From preliminary details, communicating on text, picking us up and taking us on the journey were all flawless. In addition to taking us to the marble tour, Marco took us to an amazing lunch at a very local restaurant with some of the top food in Italy so far!!
Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The marble cave wad extremely interesting. Our drive was beautiful and lunch with local delicacies was delicious and the view breathtaking.

An excursion of a lifetime! Our new friend, Thomaso, our driver and guide, was informational and engaging! Everything from the start was seamless. The drive over seemed to take very little time because he engaged with all of the passengers on the tour. Once we arrived at Carrara, we took a 4 wheel drive into the cave. At that point Francesca , one of the members of the family who mine the marble, gave an amazing discussion of the process required to extract huge blocks of marble from the only internal mines in Carrara. After the tour we drove up to the city of Colonnada. We enjoyed a fun luncheon with lardo, meats, wine and bread. A fantastic day that we all highly recommend.

Our driver Marco was super! On time, friendly, very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English. We totally enjoyed the ride to Carrara Quarry. We stopped for a snack of Lardo in Colonatta that was really fun and interesting.

Fantastic trip and most enjoyable! The guide was very curteous and well informed and had great ideas on engaging us with the other tour members . It was a small party and the executive transporter certainly not a van as described!. The internal trip in the Carrara mine was part of a larger tour, but that all went seamlessly and was very informative - Overall a great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend this guide
