Visited Capilano Suspension Bridge for the first time and really enjoyed it. The bridge itself was amazing, but I also loved walking through the forest and seeing the different areas around the park. Everything was well maintained and there were plenty of great spots for photos. Definitely a memorable stop during our Vancouver trip. Would recommend it if you're visiting the area for the first time.
Frequent Easy free transfers from Vancouver water front. Great fresh air easy access location. Various free info bites through out the park. On-site cafe/resturant and refreshments.
We used the free shuttle bus from the cruise port- The bus was very busy but we mananged to get seats. The park is in a lovely setting and we enjoyed al the information on the history of the site. The aprk was busy but we mananged to get all the way around the smaller bridge walks and platforms. We were surprised though how many people were allowed at one time on the suspension bridge itself- too many in my opinion and quite a few scared people clinging on as the bridge as you can imagine is quite wobbley. Did enjoy the visit though and glad we went.
Plan to climb a lot of stairs! The bridge does move a lot! It’s a beautiful place and you can learn a lot about nature!
Absolutely unforgettable experience exploring Canada‘s nature at its best through safe and fun bridges and stairways. Brilliant activity and I highly recommend it.
Relaxing walk through the tree tops. We were off season and quite late on in the day. I suspect it gets very busy at peak times and would be less enjoyable then.
We had a wonderful half-day at the park. The main suspension bridge itself is an unusual experience, and the view of the river underneath is spectacular. All of the walking in the park is on boardwalk-style trails, beautifully lit and maintained and without any rough or uneven areas. The Treetops Adventure was a real highlight — seven more (much smaller!) suspension bridges way up in the canopy. There are well-presented placards about the plant and animal life there, but the most wonderful aspect was just being in the gorgeous woods. There is a full-sized shuttle bus that runs on a schedule every 15-20 minutes all day from three locations in Vancouver, and we opted to travel that way on our own. It worked beautifully, but be aware that if a bus fills up at the earlier stops, you may have to wait longer than 15 minutes for one that has room!
A park like no other in British Columbia, now well decorated for autumn, the park is beautiful, the facilities are impeccable. It is worth an exhaustive visit and crossing this bridge of almost 140 meters!
I recommend this to anyone who wants to see a first class presentation of an inner city wilderness experience! Obviously it is oriented to enable many people at once but they have created something very special for an attraction right in the middle of a major city. As an outdoors person this very much exceeded my expectations - i was most pleasantly surprised.
Free shuttle to park. Go early Suspension bridge gets jammed with visitors taking selfies & more selfies. Beautiful tree house park. Lots of steps , if your knees hurt take it easy. Some exhibits were under construction & off limits
