Fantastic trip, highly recommend. The staff was so attentive they helped us every which way with the service the drinks getting on and off the boat with our snorkeling gear. The snorkeling was wonderful. We saw a lot of fish. I even saw a stingray. I highly recommend this trip.
Thank you for your amazing review! We’re so happy to hear you had a fantastic trip and that the team was so attentive throughout your experience. It’s great to know you enjoyed the snorkeling and saw so much marine life—even a stingray! We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again soon. — Boat Trips Club Team
Excellent service, my family and I enjoyed our stay to the fullest, we are very satisfied with the attentions. I highly recommend it.
The experience was very nice, I loved the snorkeling
¡Muchas gracias por su comentario! Nos alegra saber que la experiencia fue muy bonita y que le encantó el snorkel. Esperamos recibirle nuevamente muy pronto. — Boat Trips Club Team
Firstly, the communication from the company was a little bit poor, they told me they would get back to me for our transfer details but after 24 hours I had no confirmation and had to message multiple times. When we arrived at the dock after our transfer, it was very very messy and unorganised. We paid our $20 dock fee each and received our tickets for 10:30. We didn’t leave the dock until 11:15 however. It was overall very messy and a total state of confusion for everyone. Once on the catamaran, the staff were lovely. You were greeted with drinks and their hospitality was impeccable! The boat was clean and lovely. We headed snorkelling, and unfortunately our conditions weren’t great so my husband did it and I stayed onboard. He absolutely loved it, the underwater statuses were excellent and lots to sea. The equipment was slightly dirty and the guide didn’t do too much to show them around. However my husband was very happy and told me all about it. We headed to Isla mujeres for lunch, the buffet was okay, there was a lot of people so the queue is rather long. I would recommend if you’re fussy to bring your own food. We were there for an 1hr 30 mins and back on the boat to another side of the island. Here you had free time for 1hr 30 mins as well. We went around and explored for a bit. We found it is a massive tourist trap and felt a little unsafe at times. Lots of people trying to make you buy things and crossing the road can be dangerous. The beach was lovely but again, very busy! Would we go back to the island? Definitely not but we are grab we did it. Our host Roger was absolutely amazing and nothing negative at all to say about him. It was also his birthday and his last day before retiring so it was very special for us to spend that with him. The staff were absolutely amazing throughout. The entire trip was around 10 hours, was very longed out. However, the staff was amazing, and the boat was great. If you want to have a good day out on a boat, this is excellent. A special thank you to the team and we are very happy we did the excursion! Tip: bring your own snorkelling gear and if you want to hire a golf buggy bring your driving licence!
Thank you for your detailed review. We’re very sorry for the poor communication, the messy dock organization, the delayed departure, and the confusion at check-in—this is not the experience we want for our guests, and your feedback is being taken seriously. We’re really glad that once onboard you had a great day out and that the catamaran was clean, the hospitality was excellent, and the team took great care of you 🌊. Thank you as well for the notes about the snorkeling equipment and guidance, the lunch queues, and your time on Isla Mujeres—we’ll use this to improve. And we truly appreciate your kind words about Roger (and how special it was to share his birthday and retirement moment)—we’ll be sure this reaches him. Thanks again for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you on another trip in the future. — Boat Trips Club Team
We enjoyed this trip but there were some things that we were not happy with. 1… not enough snorkel time. It is advertised as a snorkeling trip, but the snorkeling was only 20 minutes with many other boats in the area and not that much to see. From there we motored over to Isla Mujeres. 2.. horrible lunch spot at Za Za BEACH club. The place they took us for lunch was a huge disappointment. It was crowded, dirty, and the food was extremely poor. It was buffet style but was mainly noodles, tortilla chips, beans, several empty trays, and hot dogs ( had to wait a long time for buns to be brought out) 3… golf cart tour around the island was not as described. On the catamaran we were offered the option to pay more (around $60 US) for a sight seeing tour around Isla with the host showing us a brochure picturing many interesting stops. We saw very few of these places. We basically drove in a convoy of golf carts from downtown to the far tip of the island, had a few minutes there, then drove back the exact same route, so we never even saw any of the sites on the other side of the island as advertised. Overall, it was still a fun day, but for the price there were too many disappointments and things were not as advertised.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you still had a fun day overall, but we’re truly sorry to hear about the disappointments—especially regarding the snorkeling time and the lunch experience. Please note that this is a shared excursion, so timing at the snorkeling area can vary depending on sea conditions, safety, and overall group coordination. Regarding the golf cart tour, we’d also like to clarify that this is not a service offered by us, and any golf cart activity or upgrades are handled by third-party providers on the island. We appreciate you bringing these points to our attention, and we’ll share your comments with the local operators to help improve the overall experience for future guests. — Boat Trips Club Team
A bit of a mixed review here, as our scheduled trip was missed due to some confusion regarding pick up location at the hotel (was disappointed in the communication process as we waited 2 hours for a pick-up that apparently marked us as a "no show" despite being in contact with operator about a delay and such). With some help from TripAdvisor, we were able to reschedule, which was appreciated. Ended up being the only damp day of our Cancun week, but can't control the weather. There were some folks clearly disappointed that the snorkel could not happen (too windy), but to be honest, it did not seem like that was a priority for the boat or for 90% of the guests...so if looking to actually snorkel, I would advise something that is just a snorkel trip. Staff was very helpful (slow process paying the $20 per person island fee at the dock), and drinks were flowing the whole trip. We were able to swim off the boat for about 15 minutes, and the water was crystal clear out there (more enjoyable than the beach club). The lunch at the beach club was adequate. Just enough time for the wife to get a quick massage before back to the boat and off to the downtown area. I am guessing there are other places on the island that are more scenic, but the port area is very hectic with golf carts and tourist traps. Kind of not buying the required "stamp" of our wristband in the expensive store we were brought to off the boat. Kids bought a few t-shirts and such, and we spent 20 minutes on the beach. Fairly rough surf on trip back to Cancun due to the weather, but everyone had a good time.
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the confusion with the pickup location and the communication issues at the start, and we understand how disappointing that must have been. We’re glad you were able to reschedule and still enjoy the experience. We also appreciate your understanding regarding the weather conditions and snorkeling limitations—guest safety always comes first. It’s great to hear the staff was helpful, you enjoyed the drinks, and that swimming in the crystal-clear water was a highlight 🌊. Your comments about the process and overall logistics have been noted so we can improve. Thank you again, and we hope to welcome you back for an even smoother experience in the future. — Boat Trips Club Team
The time of departure for our excursion was scheduled for 10:30. The dock area was full of passengers for multiple vessels- it was very disorganized and we didn't board until 11:15. Once on board we were packed/crowded like sardines- there was NO room to move, this company oversells to increase their revenue but created an uncomfortable passenger experience. People were seated where you needed to walk- it was not good. When it was time to snorkel- we were only provided a face mask- NO air tube nor flippers. I've snorkeled many times previously and other tour companies provided an air tube and flippers. The first stop at the ZaZa beach club- bathrooms were unkempt, buffet lunch was barely edible- lettuce, tomato, rice, beans - they ran out of chicken, the soup was watery. Beverages were watered down and tasted horrible. Because we were delayed in departing the dock- we had less time at our 2nd stop, Playa Mujeres. The crew members on the tour were pleasant. The one taking pictures was annoying b.c he continually asked passengers to move out of the way for photos- when the catamaran was already overcrowded and no place to sit.
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear that several parts of the tour did not meet your expectations, especially the boarding delay, crowding on the catamaran, and your experience at the lunch stop. We understand how delays at the dock can impact the full schedule, and we regret that it reduced the time at the second stop. We also take your comments seriously regarding passenger capacity, snorkeling gear expectations, and the cleanliness and food quality at the beach club. This is not the experience we aim to provide. We appreciate your note that the crew was pleasant, and your feedback has been noted for review with our operations team to improve organization, comfort, and overall service standards moving forward. — Boat Trips Club Team
Terrible experience. The included restaurant was filthy, with dirty cutlery and glasses served with bugs inside. We asked to replace the water with a sealed bottle and were charged for it. In addition, the crew was rude and pressured us to give a tip at the end. I do not recommend it at all

We would like to clarify that we work with restaurants and service partners that follow international hospitality standards, as we welcome guests from all around the world and take cleanliness and service quality very seriously. The concerns you described are not consistent with the standards we require, and we regret that you left feeling disappointed. Your comments have been noted and will be reviewed with the local team to ensure our service continues to meet the level our guests expect. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. — Boat Trips Club Team
For the amount we paid. this experience is/was rushed. There was no enough time to enjoy the snorkeling, the beach and food in isla mujeres. Everything is set up to take all your money. I will look for a better tour company next time.
Hi there, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and that it felt rushed. Our Cancun–Isla Mujeres catamaran tours follow a fixed schedule to ensure safe navigation and timely return for all guests, but we understand that pacing is an important part of enjoying snorkeling, the beach, and lunch. Your comments have been shared with our operations team so we can review the overall flow of the experience. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your concerns and regret that this tour was not the right fit for you. Kind regards, Boat Trips Club Team
Where to start… we picked this excursion based on the 9 - 5 star reviews. We’re still wondering how?? Communication and pick up were seamless. Upon arrival you receive your tickets and are placed in an open tent where they upsell you on everything from sunscreen to hats and towels. The catamaran and crew were attentive with drinks. That’s where the good ended. We cruised for 30 mins and stopped to snorkel for 20 mins! There was not many fish to see and a waste of time. Next stop was the south side of the island where we were given 1 hr to walk around and shop at the flea markets. Back on board we cruised to the north side of the island to enjoy lunch (not great) and the “ best beach”… not even close! We were asked by the crew if we wanted to rent golf carts to tour the island with a guided tour for an hour. We signed up for an additional $60.00. What a joke! They were old, which is fine, but we were told to not drive close to the car in front of us bc the brakes didn’t work well!😱😱😱😱 The guided tour was a complete waste of time. It consisted of us stoping at an area to look around for 15 mins, get back in the death traps to make a big circle to see the “ rich houses” and then the slums. It totaled 50 mins. Ended with the photographer selling picture packages. We have traveled every Thanksgiving with our boys for the last 20 years… this excursion was the worst and not worth the money or TIME. In looking at the bright side, the memories made from laughing so hard will be our vacation memory. You just can’t make it up. Sorry, but no value at all.
Hi there, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re truly sorry to hear that the excursion didn’t meet your expectations. We want to clarify something important: You booked the boat excursion with our company, and we are fully responsible for the boat, crew, safety, drinks, and service on board. We’re glad to hear communication and pickup went smoothly. However, some parts of the day are not controlled by us, such as: the beach and island conditions the ocean, snorkeling visibility, or marine life the local vendors on the island the optional golf cart tour (run by a different provider) We understand how these things affected your experience, and we will share your feedback with our partners to improve wherever possible. Thank you again for your honesty. If you’d like to talk with us directly, please message us—we’re here to help.
