Unfortunately, this tour was not worth the money. The biggest concern was the condition of the ATVs. Several members of my group were given vehicles with serious safety issues, including poor steering, sticking brakes, no brakes at all, and seats that were coming loose. One ATV was missing a protective guard around the engine, which resulted in a member of our party suffering a burn on their leg. The cenote portion was also disappointing. We were only given about 20 minutes to swim, which felt extremely rushed and did not justify the amount of time spent traveling and waiting throughout the tour. Overall, the experience felt poorly organized, the equipment was not properly maintained, and the value did not match the price paid. I would not recommend this tour to anyone looking for a safe and enjoyable ATV, zipline, and cenote experience.
Amazing experience I enjoyed every moment upscale wasn't necessary stick to the basic package you'll have just as much fun
Mixed experience—great activities, but major safety concernsThe water jumping was highly enjoyable for everyone. The zipline experience was also great, thanks to the professional and encouraging staff. However, the ATV tour had serious issues. There was no safety briefing, and the vehicles lacked seatbelts, which unfortunately resulted in the kids getting hurt. Furthermore, the route is very dusty; bring your own mask, or they will charge you $10 per person. To finish, the staff aggressively demanded tips and openly showed dissatisfaction with the amount given.
While the activities themselves are inherently fun—after all, who doesn't love jumping into a cenote?—the overall execution felt incredibly commercialized. The operation feels like a massive assembly line designed to herd large volumes of people from one station to the next, which can easily ruin the intimacy of the experience depending on the group you get paired with. The Major Issue: Poor Activity Sequencing The logical flow for an adventure tour like this should be obvious: do the zipling or the muddy/dusty ATV ride first, move to other one, and end at the cenote to wash off and cool down. Unfortunately, only one or two lucky groups get that itinerary. Our group had a completely random, backward sequence: we swam in the cenote first, were given tequila tasting, and were then sent out to ride ATVs on incredibly bumpy tracks while damp. It made the main event quite unpleasant. Hidden Costs & Lack of Preparation Info The Viator/TripAdvisor description leaves out crucial details about what to bring, seemingly to maximize upsells at the park. Before you go, make sure to pack: A towel: Otherwise, you are forced to buy one or stay soaking wet. Change of clothes / Face mask / Dirty shoes: The ATV track is incredibly dusty and muddy. Note on Bug Spray: They will try to sell you repellent at check-in, but it’s honestly only necessary if you are highly sensitive to insect bites. Food & Vibes The included lunch is just okay. If you are only coming for the action, I’d honestly recommend skipping the food altogether. Additionally, if you've been to other cenotes in the region, don't expect too much here—this one isn't nearly as picturesque. Think of the entire park as a very, very mini version of Xcaret. The good: The photographers are genuinely good at capturing your pictures. It is really expensive package, but they do a really good job. Final Verdict: If you are traveling as a large group or a bachelor/bachelorette party, this high-volume operation might work well for you. However, if you are a family or a smaller, independent group looking for an authentic or seamless experience, I highly recommend booking a more personal, private tour instead.
Zip lining and the cenote activities were great! The tour guides were also very nice and helpful. Think twice before getting on the ATVs; they are dangerously hot. My partner and I got burns on our legs from the extreme heat coming from the area where you put your legs/feet. Not sure if it was the exhaust or something similar. Staff seems to be aware of the problem, and we were told that it’s happened to other guests. They’re also pushy on tipping- which I understand that they heavily rely on that as their source of income (and it’s common sense to tip everyone who provides a service)- but it’s a bit much.
Everything was good except the for wheelers and the ride for that basically follow eachother around on super uncomfortable seats get dirty tequila tasting was awesome
Gave it a 3 star only because of cenote which was the only good part. Ziplines were super short and not fun at all, even little kids wouldn’t enjoy it. For ATV you are just following the guide in a single line; driving super slowly. Not worth it, there are better things out there for similar price.
I was disappointed with my experience. We paid for the excursion and expected everything to be clear upfront, but then we were charged extra for pictures. After paying for the photo package, we only received about half of the pictures we were promised. For the amount of money spent, this felt unfair and unprofessional. I would have appreciated better communication and for the service to match what was paid for. Unfortunately, this left a bad impression on our trip. It just happened today don’t book this looks better in pictures. Food they say is included is a tortilla with white cheese plastic cups that are dirty not sanitary for kids. Never again paid for my pictures and he rip me off and said don’t tell people we made a good deal with you all when I got in shutter van noticed my pictures were not complete!
Tequila tasting should be after the zip line and ATV rides. Atv cars where very shaking they need new ones or service them.
I think the experience could have been better if they had planned the day out better. We started off at the cenote and only got 25 minutes to shower beforehand, set our clothes aside and jump in. It would have been better if they started off with the zip lines or atv experience and ended it with the cenote swim. Since we started with the swim we were super dusty and all our hair was super dirty and hard because it was still wet when we went on the atvs. We ended the day off super dirty so just would have been nice to cool off at the cenote. We shower before and after so it’s not like the dust would be affecting the cenote in any way. The tacos were good that they provided us but everything else you had to pay for and the food was expensive, at least for us. They also didn’t really provide us with water. We had our water bottles. I also recommend some water shoes because to get to the cenote we had to walk on small rocks and having sneakers was not it especially after when you’re feet are all wet and dirty. I think for the price we paid it was okay. I did get a deal though with trip advisor. They highly encouraged you to tip and even suggested at least $5-10 USD would be good for them at least. Kind of making you feel bad if you didn’t tip. The photos were also kind of pricey. They do it based on how many people are in your group so the more people you have expect to pay more. Although it was maybe around $1 USD per picture, so not the worst. It is an all or nothing situation though, you cannot pick and choose which pics you want. Either you buy all or none. Quality was great though and we did end up purchasing our pics since the photographer did get some pretty nice shots. All in all it was fun but I probably wouldn’t do it again. There were a lot of people here and we have done another experience like this but that spot there was hardly any people and you got to visit different cenotes and actually enjoy your swim for however long you wanted with a buffet style lunch (super yummy). It’s called Cenotes Zapote Prehistoric Park. Though it didn’t have the ATV experience, but if you just want to go swim do some zip lines and have a chill day I’d recommend this spot.
