Vi har lett våra hyllade Christian Heritage guidade vandringar i över 25 år, och arbetar med ett dedikerat team av lokala guider för att ge dig en liten grupp vandringsupplevelse som är personlig, engagerande och oförglömlig. Vi strävar efter att ge dig en känsla för några av Cambridges mest ikoniska och inflytelserika platser, både på och utanför allfartsvägarna. Vårt tillvägagångssätt skiljer sig lite från en vanlig turistresa: vi tror att idéer spelar roll, och fokuserar på hur ett litet antal stora idéer har format universitetet under åtta händelserika århundraden. Våra guider väver samman berättelser om Cambridge-karaktärerna som förvandlade världen (som Isaac Newton, William Wilberforce och John Milton), och leder dig genom ämnen som universitetets uppkomst från kristna kloster, den protestantiska reformationen, utvecklingen av modern vetenskap, rörelser för rättsstatsprincipen och religionsfrihet och kampanjen för att avskaffa den brittiska slavhandeln.

Observera att resplanen nedan ger ett exempel på platser som ofta besöks på turnén, men rutten kan variera för att ge dig den bästa möjliga rundturen på en viss dag.
Vi börjar vid Round Church, Cambridges märkligaste (och, tycker vi, vackraste) kyrkobyggnad, som är äldre än universitetet. I kyrkan finns en utställning och 20 minuters film, och tillgång till dessa ingår i guidade promenadbiljetter.
Vi börjar vanligtvis med att bege oss ner till floden Cam, där en tydlig känsla av stadens ursprung kan fås vid Magdalena Bridge.
Turer kan ibland gå inne i 1 - 2 högskolor, men detta är inte alltid möjligt och vi kan inte garantera detta. Magdalene College, där C.S. Lewis var baserad under sin tid i Cambridge, kan också ses från kajsidan.
Vi stannar för att beundra utsidan av kapellet och grindhuset i St John’s College.
Vi ser grindhuset på Trinity College och Isaac Newtons äppelträd.
Vi tillbringar lite tid omgivna av de centrala universitetsbyggnaderna: universitetskyrkan, Senate House och Cambridge University Press bokhandel, samt det vackra Gonville och Caius College.
Mittemot Great St Mary's Church ligger University Senate House, där studenter tar examen.
Vi ser utsidan av King's College, inklusive det magnifika kapellet, från King's Parade.
Vi strävar efter att ge dig en känsla för några av Cambridges mest ikoniska och inflytelserika platser, både på och utanför allfartsvägarna. Turer besöker ibland Church of St Edward King and Martyr, där det hävdas att den första protestantiska predikan predikades i England.
Vi besöker ett av de nyare tilläggen till Cambridges historiska King's Parade och utforskar dess betydelse.
Vi stannar för att beundra tornet St Bene't's, som är den äldsta byggnaden i Cambridge, med anor från ca 1020.
Mitt emot St Bene't's ser vi The Eagle pub.
Vi beger oss till Old Cavendish Laboratory, platsen för betydande vetenskapligt arbete och upptäckter.

Be careful of traffic in crowded areas. Helpful to have a simple map of the central area. Lots of information to take in about Cambridge history and amusing stories.

What an excellent experience this was! I spent July travelling around the UK and attended several walking tours in several locations, but this one in Cambridge was the highlight! So informative, and such a fantastic tour guide. The unfortunate thing is I forget the first name of the guide who took us out in the late afternoon session on July 16th. No reason not to recommend this tour. This was my second visit to Cambridge, and this time it was much more fascinating and inspiring thanks to this tour. I not only learned about the history and practical aspects behind the pretty buildings and the city, but also gained a bigger picture of the countless stories behind them. I feel very lucky that my partner happened to find and choose this tour!

David was an excellent tour guide. I really enjoyed this tour; he had a really deep understanding of Reformation and monarchical history at the time of the Reformation, which really enriched the experience. He gave us all the surrounding historical context of the Reformation—with Charles, the Puritans, Mary I, Elizabeth, and Henry VIII—which really helped us understand what we were seeing. As someone who is very interested in Christian and English history, this was excellent.

Ian Cooper is a legend - an excellent tour guide! He just needs to speak more clearly and less fast. He has no doubt said his guide words hundreds of times. But he needs to utter them as if he's saying them for the fist time. If he articulates better, his impact would be even greater.

Mary Forster-Lewis, our Cambridge Tour Guide was incredibly entertaining, informative and even engaged our 13 year old and 11 year old granddaughters. While there were hordes of tourists clogging the streets, she knew all the quiet alley ways and sites to make our experience private, easy to hear and safe! She could describe the education process in England so we Americans could understand the differences from ours. She related countless historical tidbits and told engaging stories.

Leans quite heavy on a Christian viewpoint - a little beyond what's necessary to describe the history of the university. That said John was a terrific guide and very knowledgeable, with excellent stories. About the right length and covered the main colleges.
