Välkommen till min introduktion till min hemstad: upptäck lokal kultur medan vi promenerar bland landmärken och provar lokala snacks. Kom hungrig! Jag ska gå igenom en lista över matställen som jag personligen har valt. Från varma till kalla, fasta ämnen till drycker, sött till salt, butiker och gatuförsäljare, nationella och lokala, stekt till bakad, frukt till kött, och allt däremellan medan vi promenerar bland stadens mest kända landmärken. Alla avsmakningsalternativ är snacks. Men om du känner Colombia, så gillar vi att äta. De flesta är nöjda mot slutet. Saker du kommer att kunna välja mellan: pandebono, buñuelo, arepa, empanadas, marranitas, papa rellena, papa aborrajada, aborrajado, chorizo, champús, glass, kaffe... och lite mer! Vegetarianer välkomna. Glutenfria människor är välkomna. Köttälskare välkomna också! Det finns alternativ för alla.

Vi kommer att gå en av de mest älskade platserna i Cali, en bra kickstarter till Cali erfarenhet.
Vi kommer att gå på toppen av Colombias längsta stadstunnel och kolla in några av Calis största gatukonst.
En av de mest historiska gatorna i Cali, med anor från hundratals år sedan. Calis historiska centrum.
Ett av de mest historiska husen i Cali, numera en gemenskap av ensamstående mammor som driver företag som en souvenirbutik, ett kafé och en restaurang.
För vårt första huvudstopp besöker vi ett av de mest välkända bagerierna i Cali och förstår vilken roll dessa har i det lokala samhället. Du kommer att kunna välja mellan följande livsmedel : pandebono, buñuelo, arepa, almojabana, empanada de cambray, kaffe, fruktjuicer, havregryn, frukt smaksatt yoghurt, vatten på flaska
Ett kvarter fullt av gömda pärlor, fördjupas vårt matäventyr runt de färgglada hörnen av ett av Calis bästa matområden.
Andra huvudstoppet, den rejäla, varma, stekta (naturligtvis, eftersom Colombia) matstoppet. Om du kom angelägen om att prova lokal mat, kan du inte missa dessa objekt att välja mellan: empanadas, marranitas, papa rellena, papa aborrajada, maduro aborrajado
En av Calis mest välkända dolda pärlor bland resenärer, en mycket unik plats inte bara här utan över hela världen med fungerande lytografitryckmaskiner ursprungligen utformade för att arbeta med ånga nu anpassade till elektricitet som går så långt tillbaka som 1870.
För vårt sista matstopp och slutet av turen, är en annan dold pärla i San Antonio denna glassbutik med några av de vildaste smaker du någonsin kommer att se, som deras specialitet: passionsfrukt med honungskaramelliserat stekt fläsk. Varför? Ägaren, en kock med idén att sammanfatta colombia i skopor. Ingår i turen: 2 skopor glass.

This was an amazing tour of the streets of Cali while trying some delicious food. Juan was an amazing guide who is very friendly, professional and articulate. I would highly recommend.
Juan Camilo is an amazing tour guide! He is super knowledgeable about the history and culture of Cali. He took us to amazing spots for local food! We enjoyed everything about this tour and would definitely recommend it.
My tour guide Juan Carlo was incredibly informative about Cali, and he illuminated several facets of Cali that I did not know about. The street food was excellent (especially the chorizo and lulada!), but truly, the knowledge he espoused on the history of Cali and Salsa was invaluable. I highly recommend it!
We did this street food tour in March 2026 as a couple and booked with Juan again after doing San Cipriano with him the day before - once again it ended up being a private tour (I think he may have rearranged his day to fit us in). We met centrally and walked between different stalls, trying a wide range of food and drinks including fruit, savoury dishes, sweets, and local beverages. There was so much to try that we could barely finish everything! Juan’s local knowledge really enhanced the experience - he even took us to a specific stand so we could try a lulada, which was something I really wanted, and it was excellent. The stall was run by a lovely local family, which made it even more memorable. We also stopped at a few other points of interest around the city, which was a great way to round off the tour. Overall, a fantastic way to experience Cali’s food culture with a knowledgeable local guide.

I had such an incredible time on this street food tour! From start to finish, it was the perfect mix of delicious food, local culture, and great company. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the city’s food scene. They didn’t just take us to popular spots — we visited hidden gems I never would have found on my own. Each stop had its own story, and learning about the history behind the dishes made the experience even more meaningful. The food itself was outstanding. We sampled a wide variety of flavors — savory, sweet, spicy — and everything was fresh and authentic. I especially loved how generous the portions were; I left completely full and happy! What really stood out was how well-organized everything was. The pace was relaxed, there was plenty of time to enjoy each stop, and the guide made sure everyone felt included and comfortable. If you’re visiting and want to experience the city like a local, this tour is absolutely worth it. I’d recommend it to food lovers, first-time visitors, or anyone looking for a fun and memorable way to explore. I would 100% do it again!

I grew up coming to Cali, but it was my partner's first time, and we enjoyed our tour with Juan Camilo. He was so kind and friendly- we felt an instant connection with him.
