På vår dagliga street food-upplevelse kommer du att slingra dig runt bakgatorna i den gamla staden, ett område som sällan ses av turister - dyka in i små matställen som har tjänat lokalbefolkningen i generationer. Det finns 15 plus smaker från rökig kebab till fetare bakverk, inlagda grönsaker till favabönor falafels - på lokala ställen du helt enkelt aldrig skulle hitta ensam.

Kom till pyramiderna, stanna för maten. De flesta är omedvetna om att egyptisk mat är en av de mest intressanta och nyanserade i regionen. Glöm turistbasaren i Khan-el-Khalili där högpressad försäljning är namnet på spelet. På vår dagliga gatumatstur i liten grupp i Kairo kommer du att ledas runt på bakgatorna i Gamla Kairo och dyka på ödmjuka matställen som har serverat lokalbefolkningen i generationer. Kom hungrig eftersom det finns massor av saker att prova längs vägen. Räkna med rökig kolgrillad koftas, inlagda grönsaker från en tvåhundraårig fabrik, feterbakverk och pikant kryddad kushari. Det finns fava bönfalafels (helt annorlunda än deras motsvarigheter i Mellanöstern) och kryddiga auberginer, fylliga knäckstekta räkor och nybakat tunnbröd. Det finns kafferostare och långsamkokt lamm bland många fler. Detta är dock mer än bara en matresa. Det är en kulturell lektion, det är en resa genom bakgatorna i Gamla Kairo, platser som du aldrig skulle hitta ensam.

I had an absolutely wonderful food tour with Sama today. From the very beginning, she was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive, and she made sure I had a truly memorable experience. I was the only person on the tour, but she still gave it her full energy and made the experience feel very personal. We explored parts of South Cairo that I would never have discovered on my own, stopping at a fascinating mix of cultural sites, local shops, and small, iconic food spots that you are unlikely to find online. It was a perfect blend of history, culture, shopping, and exceptional food. Sama is also an Egyptologist, and her deep knowledge of Egypt’s history and culture added so much to the experience. She has a wonderful way of combining that knowledge with her genuine passion for food, making the tour both informative and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience a more authentic side of Cairo. Sama was absolutely exceptional.

Amazing food tour in old Cairo. Our guide Nada was the best- super knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about food. We had 12 delicious food and drink tastings in total and loved them all. It was a great way to see the real Cairo away from the tourists, whilst enjoying amazing traditional food.
I had a fantastic food tour in Cairo with Nada as our guide. She was incredibly friendly, polite, and clearly passionate about her work, with great knowledge of the local food and culture. Thanks to her strong connections with locals, we were taken to authentic spots I would never have discovered on my own. Every dish we tried was delicious, especially the lamb kebabs, and one of my favorite moments was sitting on the street with locals, enjoying tea and soaking up the atmosphere. Overall, it was an amazing experience exploring Cairo through its food, and I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city.
A truly wonderful experience and insight into local culture and food with stops in places you wouldn't think of trying The guide was knowledgeable about the food and architecture and nothing to much trouble Just make sure you have an appetite. Enjoy
Had an amazing experience with Nada who showed us around the streets of old Cairo and trying all the Egyptian delicacies. Was very cool to see the real Cairo, people watching and explore places I would have never been able to visit without her knowledge. Tried too many great foods to name, koshary, kofte, juices, teas, coffees, etc. Can highly recommend on your next trip!
So good! The food was great, and we went to places you would never go as a tourist. Sama is so amazing - we learned so much about Cairo and Egypt in general. A wonderful evening with a wonderful person!

We had the pleasure of joining Sama for the Cairo Night Food Tour. The tour was great with a great mix of sit down dishes as well as small bites and drinks on the way. We only visited small local businesses that we would never have found ourselves. If you are into food and adventure - just do it!
