Turnén börjar i hamnen där du hoppar på en luftkonditionerad motorbuss för en timmes bilresa längs natursköna vägar och passerar pittoreska byar på väg till Cahuita. Detta är en vacker nationalpark som kombinerar en fantastisk vit sandstrand med sprudlande regnskog. Under naturvandringen kommer vår naturreseguide att peka på de olika vilda djurarter som finns i parken såsom apor, sengångare, leguaner, tukaner och andra. Efter naturvandringen ingår ett mellanmål i Cahuita Town, där du kan njuta av en drink eller smaka på de lokala karibiska smakerna. När du återvänder till piren ingår ett stopp vid en bananplantage för att lära dig mer om denna viktiga gröda för Costa Ricas ekonomi. Förutom banan kommer du att lära dig om choklad och andra viktiga produkter i denna rika region. En souvenirbutik ingår också som en del av turen innan du återvänder till fartyget.

En vacker nationalpark som ligger cirka 1 timme från piren, med ett rikt djurliv, vegetation och karibisk kultur. Cahuita National Park är en landlig och marin nationalpark i Karibiska La Amistad Conservation Area i Costa Rica som ligger på den södra karibiska kusten i Limón, ansluten till staden Cahuita. Cahuita är unik i Costa Rica för sin nära relation med samhället, ett exempel på delad förvaltning mellan samhället och regeringen för en hållbar utveckling på samhällsnivå. Deltagande av parkvakter och samhällsliv sticker ut genom en delad förvaltningsledning. I detta ekosystem, inbäddat i Karibien men med skogsmiljö, hittar du arter som tvättbjörnar, sengångare, leguaner och basilisker. Du kommer också att märka ormar som glitter och tamagá, och fåglar som den svarta höken. Inne i parken är det möjligt att utöva fritidssporter och vandra längs lederna, eller helt enkelt njuta av stränderna och bada eller sola.
Puerto Limón, allmänt känd som Limón, är huvudstaden och huvudnav i provinsen Limón, liksom i kantonen Limón i Costa Rica. Det är den sjunde största staden i Costa Rica, med en befolkning på över 55 000, och är hem för det afro-kostaricanska samhället. Den karibiska provinsen är ett naturligt paradis, bildat av en kombination av täta djungler, imponerande berg och paradisiska stränder. This is the same tour offered by our cruise ship but was a better value. You get three different experiences - 1) a visit to a nearby national park with sloths, monkeys and some birds, 2) an organic banana plantation where you learn both about the fruit and the packaging process and 3) a canal tour on a boat offering close-ups of sloths and caimans. Our guide Nathalie was a delight - very informative, positive and professional.. Highly recommended!

This was a well organized day with a biologist as our guide. He was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. He was aware of the needs of the group and offered spot stop options for those who were mobility challenged. The driver was aware and watched for opportunities to see wildlife en route and stopped for amazing sites. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was a great tour and our guide Natalie was exceptional. The bus and boat were clean and comfortable and Natalie was full of knowledge about the area and all the species. I learned so much in the 6 hours of the tour. Highly recommend this one!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and added an extra dimension to our tour. We saw an incredible number of animals (slouths, iguanas, holler monkeys, cayman, and birds). We sampled various fruits at the plantation

Our guide Ariel was great-Pickup outside the port was easy, transportation was very comfortable and the locations visited were amazing. Ariel shared his wealth and breath of knowledge, never rushed us at the three destinations - Cahuita National Perk, the banana plantation and a river tour and made it a really interesting and fun day. As warned, bring Deet as the mosquitos can be a little aggressive and carry water and snacks as we spent six hours on the tour. There is food and drink that can be bought at the banana plantation and the prices are reasonable. A really nice thing our guide did- let us know that we would be arriving back at the port on time, several times during the day.
