På den här privata rundvandringen får du uppleva slående kontraster på nära håll. Från den vackert restaurerade Gamla stan, med sin Belle Époque-charm, till de starka, imponerande strukturerna i det tidigare Kommunistiska medborgarhuset, avslöjar varje steg en stad formad av två vitt skilda epoker. Denna tur är mer än bara en visuell resa, den nystar upp historien om 45 år av kommunistiskt styre och hjälper dig att se bortom Bukarests färgglada nutid. På Universitetstorget, hjärtat av 1989 års revolution, kommer du att stå där Rumäniens kamp för frihet blev våldsam. Det var här demonstranter riskerade allt, där kulor slet genom folkmassor och där Ceaușescus styre började kollapsa. Här får du utforska de sista åren av hans regeringstid – präglade av paranoia, vårdslös politik och landsomfattande svårigheter. Men revolutionen var inte bara ett spontant uppror. Mihai’s warm welcome really set the tone of the the day. He is extremely knowledgable and personable. You will get out of this tour as much or as little as you like and his real skill is tailoring the experience into what you want to get out of it as he has a natural ability to adapt to the audience. As a keen historian, this tour was absolutely perfect for me as he engaged in discussion and sharing opinions with me, as opposed to a pre made speech which other guides would give. He asks thought provoking questions and gives passionate and insightful views. The tour was relaxed and didn’t feel on a strict schedule or like he was clock watching. The private tour of communism was amazing. Our guide Andra met us at our hotel lobby so we did not have to locate a separate location. Andra was very informative and honest. She shared many first hand personal experiences from her family life. This approach made the experience come alive. She planned the walking tour in a very sequential manner helping us to understand how the rule of communism affected the population. At the conclusion of the tour she asked how she could help us. As a result she walked with us to our next location. We highly recommend this tour and Andra as a guide. Worth every penny. You won’t be disappointed.
