På denna 2,5-timmars vandringstur för små grupper går du till de viktigaste landmärkena i Bukarest och hör dess fantastiska berättelser. Lär dig om de blodiga tiderna när Dracula strövade omkring på Bukarests gator till den förödande kommunistregimen ledd av diktatorn Nicolae Ceausescu.

På det imponerande Revolutionstorget kommer du att förstå det hårda kommunistiska förtrycket och hur mycket kontroll den totalitära regimen utövade över lokalbefolkningens liv. Berättelser om otrolig evolution och prestationer, men också om hunger och matransoner kommer att berättas, toppat av bilder från den tiden, för en mer dramatisk effekt. Här får du också höra historien om den blodiga revolutionen i december 1989 och diktatorn Nicolae Ceaușescus slutliga fall, som bevittnade det demokratiska Rumäniens födelse.
Efteråt går vi på avenyn där kungarna hade sina dagliga promenader - den romantiska Calea Victoriei. Fantastiska Belle Epoque-strukturer som CEC Palace, Grand Hôtel du Boulevard eller universitetsbiblioteket kan beundras.
I början av turen kommer vi att gå i Gamla stan i Bukarest, på trappan till historiens mest hemska karaktär - Vlad Dracula och upptäcka hans bortglömda fästning. I den närliggande caravanserai, Manuc's Inn, en imponerande före detta kommersiell bosättning, lär dig hur Bukarest utvecklades vid sammanslagningen mellan två olika världar: öst och väst. Senare tar vi dig för att hitta en eklektisk blandning av byggnader som Rumäniens centralbank, Stavropoleos-klostret och Villacrosse-passagen och du kommer säkert att charmas av den livliga atmosfären i detta kvarter.

The tour was very interesting and informative! We visited many beautiful places and included detailed information about them. The tour guide Stefania conducted the tour at a very pleasant pace, with many interesting facts and in a relaxed atmosphere. We felt very comfortable, and she was able to answer all our questions. I can only recommend the tour. Especially at the beginning of a stay in Bucharest, it is very sensible because you visit many beautiful places and receive all the information you need. The final lunch was also very delicious and in a very nice restaurant with a beer garden! Andree

Stefan did a great job of introducing us to Bucharest. Alongside the references to important historical figures and places Stefan also discussed the impact personalities and politics had on the everyday life of ordinary citizens. He answered our questions , and gave us tips on places to visit, and foods and drinks to try later. Thanks Stefan

This was a great waking your , gaining an insight into Bucharest and its history from communism to its present day. Laura was a great guide and was very helpful. This is a must on your first day in Bucharest as you’ll get lots of info to explore the other days with some great local tips. The your was about teo and half hours and there is no real payment but you pay what you think it’s worth.

Very detailed and informative tour through a part of Bucharest.
For anyone who doesn’t know the history of Bucharest during World War II and before this is the most informative and educational experience I’ve had. Our guide Laura is extremely knowledgeable the history and included great details that we do not see in history books. It’s a great opportunity that should not be missed!
