Utforska det historiska judiska kvarteret, en av de äldsta och mest populära delarna av Budapest! Detta levande kvartal karakteriseras unikt av det judiska samhällets kultur (det största judiska samhället med cirka 80 000 personer bor i Budapest, i Östeuropa) som bosatte sig här för århundraden sedan. Den tredje största synagogen i världen (den näst största i Europa), det judiska museet och arkivet med en rik samling och de viktigaste judiska religiösa och kulturella institutionerna finns här. Kvartalet har varit på listan över UNESCOs världsarv sedan 2002. Låt oss upptäcka historia, kostymer, traditioner och festivaler tillsammans! Tänk på att synagogenerna och museet är stängda på fredagens eftermiddag och på lördagens "sabbath"!

Det första stoppet på vår rundtur i det judiska arvet är världens näst största synagoga, känd som Dohány Street Synagogue. Utställningar, minnesmärken och mycket mer väntar på oss att utforska såsom Förintelseminnesmärket, Hjältarnas kyrkogård, Livets träd med Wallenbergs minnespark.
Vi besöker Judiska museet, innehåller en unik samling judiska artefakter (till exempel världens äldsta Torah-finial) med en fantastisk historia.
Fascinerande historia med lokal konst; berömda ruinbarer; eklektiska butiker; avantgardistiska gallerier och bra ställen att äta på - De judiska kvarteren (världsarv) blev en av de mest spännande och populära platserna i Budapest. På vår vandringstur utforskar vi höjdpunkterna i detta livliga kvarter och talar naturligtvis om det ungerska judiska samhällets långa historia.
Vi upptäcker det lilla ortodoxa samhället med deras dagliga livsvanor och seder genom att besöka den lilla, fridfulla ortodoxa synagogan.
Den sista synagogan i den judiska triangeln är Rumbach Street Synagogue med intressanta berättelser. Obs: För närvarande är under rekonstruktion.
Ett av de intressanta landmärkena i huvudstaden Shoes on the Donau Memorial. Vi besöker för att veta om historien bakom detta enastående landmärke.

We had a wonderful tour with George. He was informative and fun to be with. Highly recommend Geroge and this tour.
Our tour guide, György was fabulous. He met us at the lobby of our hotel and provided us with an informative walking tour of the surrounding area on the way to the Jewish quarter of Budapest. He was incredibly knowledgeable of Budapest and the Jewish history. We thoroughly appreciated all he had to offer in seeing the important sites in the area, including but not limited to the synagogues, museum, memorials and current cultural flair of the local area. In addition to the walking, he took us on the Metro to the river bank to see the Parliament building and the important, solemn Shoes on the Danube memorial. He provided us with so much important information of this part of Budapest’s history, and was polite and professional too. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Budapest.

George was an amazing and very knowledgeable guide. Everything was perfect from meeting me at the hotel to drop off. Very emotional day but light moments with chimney cake and small talk. As I was solo, George did the usual tour but offered options and insights throughout the day to be sure I saw everything I should or wanted to. This tour is a must for anyone who wants a history of the Jewish story in Budapest

<p>Rashad is one of the most knowledgeable historians on Jewish events I have ever heard. He gave us an overview of world history as it related to Jewish people as well as in depth descriptions of the ghettos where thousands died from exposure, starvation, and Nazi bullets. The most striking portion of the tour was the depiction of the men,women and children who were shot and thrown into the Danube illustrated by empty shoes at the river side. The tour was well worth more than its cost.</p>
