Du går ombord på din båt i Brisbanes Southbank-distrikt och lämnar staden bakom dig på en avkopplande kryssning till Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Klockan 10:15 anländer du till Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary där du är fri att utforska i 3 timmar. Lone Pine öppnade 1927 som en säker tillflyktsort för sjuka, skadade och föräldralösa koalor, vid en tidpunkt då arten slaktades för pälshandel. Idag finns Lone Pine kvar som destination, inte bara se inhemska australiska djur, men också för att ansluta och lära, och att lämna känslan inspirerad att göra små, positiva förändringar i ditt dagliga liv för att hjälpa till att skydda inhemska vilda djur och livsmiljöer. Tillsammans med koalor och kängurur är Lone Pine värd för en fårhundsutställning där du ser hundarna samla ihop en fårhjord som svarar på deras husses visslingar, läten och signaler. Du kan se ugglor, drakar och havsörnar sväva ovanför dig på Birds of Prey show, eller förundras över de färgglada fjädrarna i de vilda lorikeets som flyger in två gånger dagligen för att mata. Andra fågelarter och en population av östliga vattendrakar, en ödla som blir upp till 90 cm lång, gillar också att besöka Lone Pines naturliga parklandskap.
Efter en actionfylld utforskning av Fristaden börjar vi ombordstigning för er med trötta fötter kl 12:45 fram till 13:30 då ni ger er ut på en avkopplande kryssning tillbaka till staden. Our travel agent arranged a river cruise and admission to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary for us while in Brisbane. What a fantastic day! A very relaxing cruise to/from the sanctuary, on the Brisbane River. Our captain of the Miramar was so informative on the sights we saw on our ride as well history of the area! Snacks and beverages were available for purchase and crew were very helpful and nice. We saw so many animals up close and personal at the sanctuary! A dream come true to be able to see the koala and kangaroos/wallaby up close and touch them! Thank you for such an amazing day!
A most wonderful experience. Unique experience to get so close to kangaroos, emues, and koalas. My personal favourite was the plataplus, a mammal I have been fascinated with since childhood. Denis was so kind and helpful. Everyone was so positive and happy. A sweet day we all will remember forever.
A great way to see Brisbane and learn about its history along the way. Loved seeing the beautiful houses along the riverbank and we had breakfast on board. Rugs are provided in case you get cold on the upper deck.
We had an amazing experience on the Brisbane River Cruise with entry to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. The cruise was relaxing and offered beautiful views of the Brisbane River, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary was fantastic—we loved seeing the koalas up close and learning about Australia's unique wildlife. The staff were friendly, the facilities were well maintained, and everything was well organized from start to finish. It was a perfect day out for families, couples, or anyone visiting Brisbane. Highly recommended!
Great service and help! Has confusion with tickets from travel agent, boat captain called our travel company to get the tickets straightened out. Amazing animal sanctuary and koala experience. Loved exploring all the animals and well maintained property.
This was our first adventure on the first day of our first visit to Australia. The "up close and personal" encounters with unique Australian wildlife was the perfect start to our trip. It is possible to find kangaroos and koalas in the wild, but it's nothing compared to petting them at Lone Pine Sanctuary! Other animals we were able to see included: dingo, crocodile, Tasmanian devil, and a variety of birds and reptiles (there is a platypus observation area that – for the protection of the animal – is way too dark to really see much).
On time ferry there and back, great hospitality once on board, plenty of time to explore Line Pine park, easy way to get there.
This was a lovely day to spend the day. From the ferry ride to the sanctuary, everything was phenomenal. You can book extra things at the sanctuary once you get there. And if you don’t want to spend your money on food, lots of people brought little picnics with them.

A relaxing boat ride with information about the city along the river route leads you to an australian wildlife oasis, where you can see and interact with koalas, wombats, dingos, kangaroos and other australian animals. A fabulous day!
