Bratislava Post-Kommunism Tour

Having booked the Bratislava Post-Communism Tour, we were delighted that Peter arrived to take us in his 1971 Skoda S100. Peter was clearly knowledgeable and his enthusiasm for both Bratislava and the post communism period was infectious. We found Peter to be engaging, funny, entertaining and genuinely interested in us and the sites we wanted to see. Braňo was interesting and entertaining as he drove around Bratislava in an old Skoda Favorit. We stopped at many sites that I would have not considered and was well prepared with historical presentation. For the time and content of this tour, it is certainly worth the money.

just now New Zuzana is just an amazing guide, amazing explanations, great vibes. I have no words to explain how good was the tour, it was fantastic like nothing that I’ve done before, it’s unique, adventurous and original. The Skoda car rides were great and amazing, our guide was incredible, Zuzana is an amazing woman that you can tell she loves her job. Everything, from the buildings of the post communist era and even the urbex extension are worth every cent. If you come to Bratislava, this tour is a MUST we will come back for sure with this amazing guide, this city has many stories to tell and see ❤️🇸🇰 We even were told many local stories, got an authentic experience with local snacks and shared stories with Zuzana, this was a real adventure and LOVED every single bit of it. Highly recommend this tour it’s great and it’s a must to buy an authentic Slovakia shirt to support this great company ☺️❤️

One of the best tour our family has ever been on! Highly recommend this tour for people who want to learn about the past and have an enjoyable experience while learning about the history of the country.

Excellent tour by Richard who met us at our hotel and over the next 2.5 hrs we were provided with real insight into several locations of historic importance which we'd never have covered or found ourselves. Alongside well known sites there are some real hidden gems which my wife who worked here 30 years ago hadn't known of. Covered alit of ground e.g. old Stein brewery and development of communist appartments, market hall, Slavin, old radio building, namestie slobody sq, site of the iron curtain / WWII bunker and a return through Petrzalka. Great blend of life in Bratislava through WWII, communism, Prague spring and Velvet revolution really informative and engaging. Would highly recommend...and got the bonus of trying Kafola!!

Fascinating tour! This was a really enlightening experience that took us through many parts of the city, including sites that would never have been in any of guidebook, so that we could see the transformations due to the political changes over the last 75 years. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a nuanced and sophisticated understanding of the evolution of society and politics here.
